To all of my loyal and wonderful customers, the past month since the Salon reopened (after Melbourne's 6th lockdown) you may have noticed my absence from the salon 🤭. My sincerest apologies to those of you who have been worried and asking where I have been. I am fine, in fact I'm doing really well!

After 6 years of operating Tina Tran Hairdressing Salon, I made the decision earlier in the year that it was time to hang up the scissors and prioritise my health and enjoy a much slower life with my family while taking much needed time to rest and rejuvenate.

In October 2020, after my very untimely fall and broken wrist, i was forced to re-evaluate...It was challenging both physically and psychologically returning to this career and the lifestyle of running a business; working 7 days a week.

I am so greatful to every customer I have met and the stories you have shared with me and those who have supported the Salon since 2015.

While the salon name remains, Tina Tran Hairdressing Salon is now in the care of the lovely and very capable Thuy, who was my "right hand lady" at the salon throughout these years.

Despite my departure, please continue to support her, as she navigates through this new business venture as the new owner of the salon 😊

You may still catch me around in Footscray doing my weekly grocery shop, so if you see me, please don't hesitate to stop and say hello 😉👋 .

After two weeks of forced closure and rest, we are so pleased to be back trading tomorrow - Friday, June 11! 👏

It may be cold and wet, but we look forward to seeing you all again!

Salon will be open from 9.30am to 5.30pm (subject to earlier closure if no walk-in customers within the last hour)

Turns out Tina's fall was as nasty as we expected. 😥

After 2.5 weeks of pain and soldiering through the reopening of the salon, the verdict is a fractured wrist.

It'll be a 4 to 6 week recovery period in her cast from today, but the salon will remain open with our other lovely hairdresser working.

In true Tina style, where there is no rest, she'll still be at the salon 7 days a week smiling and chatting to you from behind the counter. 😊

It looks like the rush is now well and truly over! 🤭

If you've been waiting for the crowd and queues to ease up, now is the perfect time to come down for that long awaited haircut or colour. Call ahead for bookings or walk-ins welcome.

Our body waxing* and nail services have now also resumed.

Please remember face masks must be worn at all times during these services.

*We are unable to do any lip waxing or other facial waxing where it is not possible to wear a face mask. 😷

Wow, what a week! 🥵

We've finally made it through the queues and continuous long days. Though extremely exhausted, we are so grateful to have had full chairs all week.

It was lovely to see all our loyal customers return while also welcoming new faces to the salon 🤗.

📌 Due to the extraordinary demand this week, we will not be accepting appointments for haircuts until further notice. Colour appointments only.

Since we operate as both a walk-in & appointment salon, in order to service all our customers during this time, we kindly ask that if you require a haircut, to patiently wait in the queue or return at a later day.

Unfortunately we cannot offer you a time, even if you call ahead, as the demand has been constant and is unpredictable.

🚫 We will not tolerate any abuse or aggression towards our staff or customers. Please also be mindful of physical distancing and sanitation requirements while in the salon.

It was a mighty hectic first day back, but we managed to get through the day 😅!

Thank you to our supportive, kind and patient customers. We apologise if you were unable to reach us on the phone for appointments or the walk-in queues were too long.

As much as we would have loved to stay open past the extended 7pm close, Tina's injured hands and wrists had to rest. She'll be back in the morning to soldier on through another expected busy day!

Please give us time to catch up on over 3 months worth of haircuts, hair colouring and hair styling!

We've missed you too and will endeavour to attend to all your hair needs 🤗

Tina had a very untimely fall on Tuesday and has hurt her hands and wrists 😥. Though we are so glad she is okay we ask for your patience as she recovers from her injury.
In the meantime, there will be of course, another hairdresser available.

Please call ahead to the shop tomorrow for any appointments. Otherwise, walk-ins welcome, but please be patient if our chairs are full!

To ensure a safe and hygienic salon environment, if you are unwell or have symptoms of fever, cough or difficulty breathing please stay home. Masks and hand sanitation will be required upon entry to the salon.
