We've had a huge few days following taking posession of The Lodge - our AHCC Farm in Devon Meadows.

Animals have begun to arrive with Horse (Smokey), Pony (Chester), and 7 very friendly Goats that took everyone we had on hand to lead them by halters down to the paddock. We have 3 Alpacas arriving tomorrow and the Baby Highland Calves next week!.

It was all hands on deck as we prepped stables, scrubbed and filled water troughs, laid the hay out and filled feeders.

The house is coming along with Kitchen done, and today the fridge arrived so we have cold milk now! The couch arrives on Monday!

We cannot wait to get this all happening for you - because we know you are as excited as we are!!

The BEST news of all is we have had not one but TWO OT's come on board with us and they have IMMEDIATE Capacity!

Our Nature-Based Woodworking Group offers a unique opportunity for individuals of all ages and abilities, including those with disabilities, the elderly, and those facing mental health challenges, to immerse themselves in the art of woodworking inspired by nature.

Through hands-on activities and guided projects, participants learn the basics of working with wood while drawing inspiration from the beauty of the natural world. This program not only fosters creativity and skill development but also encourages social connections and a sense of belonging within a supportive community.

We are doing energy work through the Nordic Runes this week, carving our very own Wooden Pendants with Sigils of your choice. 🕉♌️♐️♑️♈️♉️🕎✡️☸️

By popular demand, we have put on this fabulous new Workshop Threads of Artistry.

This will run each Monday from 1-2pm.

Threads of Artistry is a dedicated embroidery workshop designed specifically for NDIS participants. This group aims to provide a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals can explore the art of embroidery, develop new skills, and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of creative expression.

Foster creativity and artistic expression through embroidery.
Develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Promote social interaction and build a sense of community.
Enhance participants' confidence and self-esteem.
Provide a relaxing and enjoyable activity for mental well-being.

While all abilities are catered to, (Embroidery hoops can be placed onto clamps on the table for example), some finger dexterity is required to use a needle. Woodworking Classes are starting!! 🎉👈🥳

AHCC is excited to let you know that as of Friday 5th July, 2024 at 11am - Nature Based Woodworking Classes will get underway. 👈👈

Our Nature-Based Woodworking Group offers a unique opportunity for individuals of all ages and abilities, including those with disabilities, the elderly, and those facing mental health challenges, to immerse themselves in the art of woodworking inspired by nature.

Through hands-on activities and guided projects, participants learn the basics of working with wood while drawing inspiration from the beauty of the natural world.

This program not only fosters creativity and skill development but also encourages social connections and a sense of belonging within a supportive community.

Our first workshop will be making awesome pendants. You will be doing some energy work with Runes and carving these into the pendants. Hand tools will be used, and you will go home with a special, unique piece and the excitement of looking forward to the next class!
