Colour and fun for beachhouse Kerri and Stuart Westmore had created 25 years of memories at their Torquay holiday house before they knocked it down. Now, with a new home in the very same spot, they’ve begun a new era in the coastal town that has become their second home.

This is an accurate representation of what this week has looked like. It’s amazing how much energy, even a quiet and calm Christmas Day takes out of you. My usual feeling when doing nothing is guilt, like many others I am sure, particularly if you’re the solo driving force of your entire life. But I’ve just been leaning into it, enjoying our dogs, a bit of alone time, and living amongst the post Christmas mess. It’s quite nice to let go, enjoy the recharging, having no idea what day or date it is. It’s what my body and mind has needed after a ridiculously massive year where I’ve been on the verge of burnout-a few times 😅.
Taking a big, well earned break and ‘out of office’ ie, work brain switched off, until 22nd of Jan.

It’s so interesting how a different set of eyes can view a space so differently. I adore this bathroom so much, but I wasn’t quite sure if it would shoot well or not. Of course, the minute put the camera in front of it and I saw it on the monitor, I was blown away.
They turned out to be some of my favourite shots. Capturing the exact essence of the space.

We took it from the very beginnings and pulling out that gorgeous blue tile to pop, to the very end where we selected the towels.
Aren’t aqua and purple a match made in heaven!!

And I have a tip. Notice how the skirting tile is white to blend in with the colour of wall that’s not tiled. Do it.

The last few weeks have been so incredibly busy and I’m very tempted to jump in a bath for the afternoon to chill. But instead, Santa duties are needed to be done while the house is kid free.

One of my favourite views. The minute I spotted this original I knew it needed to go here and thankfully my clients agreed and here it is.
If it wasn’t going to end up here, it was going to come home to me. And every time I walk into this house I both admire the view, but also want to steal it 😅🤣 (I won’t 😏)

I have just received photos from our Torquay project and to tell you the truth, I didn’t think I’d be able to look at them 🙈.
I am an extremely harsh critic of myself and my work. My anxiety over being worried I’d pick at every image and think I should’ve done something differently has been next level, to the point I was melting down two days prior to the shoot on the verge of cancelling.

However, I am thrilled to say, here is a glimpse of our Torquay project and I LOVE each and every shot, thanks to the incredible 🙌🏻

I don’t think I’ve ever posted beautiful words from a client before. But these words today really brought a smile to my soul.
Did you know, most creative people suffer severely from imposter syndrome? The dreaded inner voice that says you’re not worthy and will never be good enough. This often cripples me. Zaps my motivation, creativity and feelings of worthiness. So to hear reassurance from a beautiful client means the absolute world, especially unprompted. It’s something I need to reach out for more of. Because it’s these kind of beautiful client voices that entice people to want to work with us.

I’m so, so, SO excited with every progress shot I see of this sensational Freshwater Creek build that I selected materiality for. I’m even more excited to have been selected to furnish and style this entire home. A big project that I can’t wait to get stuck into.

Here is today's colour selection for a Knock Down Rebuild in Rippleside. This property is a sentimental one having been in the family since the 1900s. But after much consideration, renovating wouldn't do justice to the available views of the bay. So a knock down rebuild was the way forward and a beautiful one it will be.
