Moss poles can be a bit labor-intensive. I've tried using large bark totems for them, but they didn't yield much and were difficult to remove when I wanted to repurpose the plant. I prefer the idea of growing substantial moss poles with established roots and then dividing them to create two plants; it's much simpler with moss.
HELP - I need an ID ???
Morning plant peeps. So this just started growing out of one of my pots, no idea that it is, looks like some type of Alocasia to me anybody out there know what this is?
***Ok general consensus is Syngonium Aurea
I was hoping for something rare and exotic, that magically grew in my pot from another seller, but not meant to be lol
Absolutely true
It’s a routine and a hobby
Around six months back, I did a plant swap with someone, mainly Anthuriums, all different types, among them were a couple of Anthurium Black Cherries, which seemed ordinary. However, today I stumbled upon one that appears to be quite exceptional today at the back of the cabinet. What do you think? Is it unusual or is this what a black cherry should look like?
On wild and windy days, the kitchen becomes my go-to place for repotting.
Monstera Deliciosa true form and Monstera Borsigana blocky Albo

I've just Repotted my Philodendron Jose Buono plant, switching from a bark pole to a moss pole for several reasons:
It has grown significantly and it's about time for a change.
Despite its height, it hasn't developed any aerial roots in the past two years.
I aim to improve drainage since it's currently in a black pot within a ceramic pot, leading to excess water accumulation in the ceramic pot after watering.
Here are the solutions I'm considering:
Using two moss poles joined with small zip ties.
Creating drainage by drilling a hole in the base of the ceramic pot and placing it on a plastic base with blue stones.
Adding stability by zip tying a tomato stake to the back of the moss poles, given its height.
Treating the roots with Azos and Mykos.
Employing a drip feeder with GT Foliage to ensure gradual absorption of water and nutrients by the moss pole.
These are strategies I've picked up along the way. If you have any better suggestions, I'd love to hear them! (Smaller plant is tip cutting)
