Good morning ! It is Monday and I have another mood board for you 🌱
Today I will show you my plans for our living room! I have already acquired most pieces but a few things are still missing. My favourite piece is my Lennon Sofa from . Fun fact: I had an eye on this sofa while still living in Australia. Loved how boxy and big it is and knew that whatever apartment I will end up in, this sofa will be standing in my living room. I also got a few really cool vintage pieces: a Danish teak leather chair from the 70s and this cool coffee table I shopped at from the 80s which I will pair with a side table from . The TV unit is from and I looooooved the whole buying and delivering experience. It was so easy to put together and it is just the perfect size as we could completely customise it. I set blue accents with my oversized artwork that I have painted myself. 💙 And last but not least: LIGHTING. I went with the UFO pendant lamp from Oi Soi Oi that I will get from .light and the Akari 1AD designed by Isamu Noguchi which will be purchased via . Lighting is so important I was really looking for something special that resonates with me. I will share some photos in the next day about the current state of the design.
Which one is your favourite piece?

A new day, a new material 🌱 Today I would love to introduce you to one of my favourite stones: Calacatta Viola Marble. 💜

I adore a statement coffee table! 💚
It is a super easy way to create a focal point in your space and create a balance between existing shapes and textures. You also don’t have to decorate them heavily and can keep the decor to a minimum as such type of coffee tables are exciting by themselves. I mean look at this stunning piece that a client has in their home now 🤩
One of my favourite materials for coffee tables will always be marble. There are so many different types of marble and all of them are unique and beautiful. They also are super luxurious without the unnecessary bling. I will post some of my favourite pieces in the next days and talk a bit about my favourite marble so follow if you want to see them 😍 🌱

One material I can’t get out of my head lately is burl wood veneer! This exquisite material has been a staple in interior design since the 17th century, reaching its peak popularity during the Victorian era and the Art Deco period. Its unique intricate patterns and rich colours add a touch of sophistication to any space, making it a beloved choice for furniture, cabinetry, and decorative accents. I have seen more and more pieces popping up in fantastic interiors marrying tradition with modern designs, offering a quite timeless appeal, and I have been inspired to use it in my own spaces.
Crafted through a meticulous process, burl wood veneer involves slicing thin layers from the burl, a knotty growth found on trees like walnut, maple, and oak. These veneers are then carefully applied to furniture surfaces, creating a stunning visual effect that showcases the natural beauty of the wood.
On the next slides you can have a look at the beautiful side tables and coffee tables I have scouted during my research, ranging from playful scallop shapes to edgy and more minimal designs. All suppliers are tagged.

Curved furniture gives your home a modern, more dynamic and organic look.
One thing you always should consider is the amount of space you need to actually place a curved sofa. If you place it against the wall or closer to it, you will lose some space behind it. I always suggest to fill it with art, floor lighting, mirrors to create a little moment. Not too much though, we don’t want clutter 🙌 A curved sofa shines if it is placed in this middle of the room, creating a seating area. The curvature creates a more intimate seating situation and it looks grand. This would also be a good way of separating seating and dining areas in an open space.
In this gorgeous home we had curved glass walls and stunning curtains 🌱. We complemented the sofa with a round marble top coffee table and light colours. 👌🏼

It is Mood Board Monday !

Are you team airy or team moody for a bedroom?
I am definitely a moody girl when it comes to my own bedroom and currently getting all bits and pieces together! I love the aubergine colour of the plaster paint. It will be a bit stronger than a lime wash but I will apply it with a similar technique to get a bit of texture. I also will be painting the ceiling with this colour, and leave the rest in a crisp white. Or should I colour drench?
The side tables are a current obsession of mine: Burled wood veneer 😍. I will make a post about this very soon as I have found so many STUNNING pieces during my research and I can’t possibly keep them to myself. Can’t wait for you to see the final result.
