The Orange Grove
51 x 61cm

I'm just going to put this out here. I have been sitting on this new artwork for a week or so. I painted this for me, out of exploration. I had this loose idea of a warm, dreamy, washed-out greenscape with a patchy sky peeking through trees. And it turned into this. Maybe it's all the photos I keep seeing on instagram of everyone in Europe that unbconciously inspired it! πŸ˜…

If this piece speaks to you, it is available. DM me for more details.

Sunnymead Escape
120cm x 90cm

I just dropped off this framed limited edition print to πŸ˜€ she's a beauty. The original sold out at my exhibition opening.

I actually can't believe this is a print! The texture leaps off the canvas. It's framed locally in solid oak. And one of only 30 in production.

Did you know? Museum grade/ archival prints are made to last a lifetime! This fine quality print was created by the team at and sealed and UV protected for 100-150 years! Using pigment based inks to give beautiful rich depths to each print.

Originals are nice... but when the prints look THIS good... πŸ‘€ they are a fantastic option!

It's tax time again! It sure does come around fast!

I have a beautiful range of prints available on bellsfineart.com.au in a custom range of sizes of you wish to take advantage of tax time!

Did you know?...

There are two ways you may be able to claim artwork on your tax return:Β

If you are a small business operating out of a commercial office or home office location you may be eligible to claim a 100% write off on artworks worth up to $150,000, per piece. The artwork must have installed or first used between 12th March 2020, up to the 30th June 2023. This is a substantial increase to the previous instant write off threshold which was just $30,000.Β

If you are not a small business, but you had to relocate to work at home during COVID-19 you may also be able to claim on artworks. The process and variables differ slightly, but the ATO have created a shortcut way to claim the costs of setting up a home office, which includes claiming on artwork costs.Β

Individual circumstances always do v and this is not financial advice. So please discuss your particulars with a tax professional before purchasing an artwork.

"The Lookout" went home with a lovely collector who had her eye on it for a little while, in the shop window πŸͺŸ

Roughly quoting a lovely lady I spoke with this morning who told me, "don't go looking for art, let art find you..."
Yesss! This piece has found it's someone πŸ™Œ

Art truly seems to be one of those things. It's like making a friend. Either you feel the connection when you meet, or... you don't πŸ™

This sweet little commission of the honeymoon spot of a gorgeous couple πŸ’“ Wineglass Bay in Tassie!

The brief was to make it a little brighter than the real life photo reference. I added a bit of texture in the scrub to make it pop.

Did you honeymoon in Aussie? If so, where did you go? Tasmania's beauty would be hard to beat πŸ₯° but then again, Australia has so much beauty on show!

Pt Roadknight commission
🌊🌊🌊

I completely forgot to share the photos from this cute little commission from a few weeks ago!

The collector was looking for a gift for her hubby. She liked my textured work, so I created this piece and wrapped the thick leafy textures around the sides 😍 Swipe πŸ‘‰ to see this up close.

Wrapping the textured design around the sides of the canvas is a great budget-friendly alternative to having a frame. It still looks fantastic! Well worth the extra time and effort involved πŸ‘Œ

Well hello there! πŸ‘‹

I thought I'd jump on the wagon and reintroduce myself to anyone new here!

β€’ I'm a self taught artist based in Geelong, with my hubby and studio assistant doggie, Murph. You'll often see me feature our gorgeous Surf Coast coastline in my paintings! Geelong has the most supportive community of artists I've ever experienced πŸ‘Œ

β€’ I've fallen in love with gardening, and now our wild Friday nights are all about watching the latest Gardening Australia episode in cosy PJs! πŸ˜„ There's no better feeling than eating what you've grown yourself!

β€’ I held my first solo exhibition in 2022 and am already in the planning stages of my next one in November 2023!

Thanks for coming on this ever changing journey with me! I look forward to the year ahead being full of fun and hard work πŸ’ͺ

Say "Aloha!" to the finished painting Vs the Google maps reference photo πŸ‘‰ (swipe right)

It's never meant to be exact.
For starters, I remove suburban areas of housing, and any unsightly man's made things, and just keep what makes the area recognisable, like the golf course β›³

From my High Tide collection, this pair went to the same collector. I'm so glad, because they compliment each other ☺️

I will never tire of hearing collectors connections to the artworks, their stories, and why a certain piece caught their eye. It's one of the perks of the job!

I’m curious… with commissions booking out fast and another solo exhibition coming up later this year, what do you want to see more of?

Coastal artworks are definitely the backbone of my work, but I always love exploring other subjects and styles. Some are successful, others… not so much haha. But that’s the beauty of learning and growing!

One of my goals is to get comfortable painting people/ portraits! (Super scary)

What would YOU like to see me attempt?

BIRD ROCK SUNSETS
Sold πŸ”΄ in store at

This painting couldn't have gone to a lovelier home, as this beach has a special significance to Claire; reminding her of walks on the beach with her gorgeous doggie, who recently passed away 😒πŸ₯ΊπŸΎ

I'm so touched when I'm reminded of the emotional significance art can have πŸ’ž
