I thought I should introduce myself. My name is Melanie and I am mum to 2 awesome neurodiverse teens (16 and 18).

I was a play helper for a MyTime group in Townsville and found the support offered to families was very helpful. I accepted the role of facilitator here in Toowoomba as I am passionate about providing support to parents and carers who are struggling. As a parent I struggled to ask for help until I was at breaking point. Now I advocate that parents and caregivers need to look after themselves in order to provide the best care for their children. In the 2 hours each fortnight of MyTime YOU will be the focus. I look forward to meeting you all.
