Empowering All Abilities Support Services is a newly established Disability Support Provider.
Empowering All Abilities are striving to provide Reliable, Participant Centered Care, where our main priority is focusing on you and your Abilities. Participant-Centred Care involves recognising your needs and respects your rights to make life decisions & choices and is about respecting your individual preferences and diversity.
Empowering All Abilities are seeking casual Support Workers around the Hobart area.
To be a successful candidate you need to be passionate about helping others maintain their quality of life.
Your duties will differ according to the needs of the participants, however may include:
• Supporting people with daily living skills such as shopping, cooking, travel, training
• Connecting and linking people into the community with local activities and
recreational interests.
• Providing meal assistance and meal preparation.
• Medication prompting assistance and monitoring.
• Assisting with showering, dressing and personal care related tasks with the use of manual handling aids if appropriate.
• Basis tasks that may include booking appointments, assisting with shopping, paying bills, liaising with service coordinator.
• Accompany to social group and other activities if required.
• Providing physical support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care.
• Providing emotional support for an individual and their families.
• Encouraging and supporting the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
• Working with other healthcare professionals to ensure that all care needs meet.
Qualifications & experience required
• WWVP NDIS endorsed
• First Aid & CPR
• Open Driver's Licence, reliable car & insurance
• Police check within the last 6 months
• An NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDIS WSC) and have received a Clearance from NDIS; ( Or willing to obtain one)
Highly regarded and desirable:
• A relevant qualification in Disability, Aged Care, Individual Support, Allied Health, Mental Health or working towards it.
This position is on a casual basis, working across a variety of shifts (including evenings, overnights & weekends).

It was an emotional “goodbye” for Madelyn & her support worker.
These 2 have been joint at the hip these past few weeks, visiting every park 🛝

Over the weekend Stuart participated in the special Olympics
and TBT state competition here in Hobart 🎳
Stuart had a top weekend, with an impressive strike rate & bringing home a total of x5 1st places plus x2 2nd places 🥇🥈

If you’ve been following along, you’d know that Ethan started at Mens Shed a few weeks ago.
Ethan finished off his first project this week…. A toolbox 🧰
He was very happy with the end product he’d made for his Aunty & can’t wait to start working on something new in the coming weeks. 🔨🔧🔩🪚
Ethan went to visit the Hobart cat centre, spending some time spoiling the orphaned cats & kittens that had been either rescued or surrendered. 🐈⬛
Ethan had the best day, wanting to pack them all in his car & give them a loving forever home.
Not sure his parents would approve, but how could you say no to this smile?

Stuart had a night off bowling this week, so he was surprised with a night at the Footy to watch his mighty blue boys play.
Stuart is a mad Carlton supporter so being able to attend a game with his support worker absolutely made his day.
This is what makes us as a NDIS provider proud, being able to assist our participants to achieve their own individual goals and we wouldn’t be able to achieve this without our passionate support workers. ⭐️
Stuart has had a brilliant start to the bowling championship in Melbourne, scoring some impressive numbers, all while showing that nothing is off limits for people living with a disability.
When Stuart has a break in between bowling, he is off exploring Melbourne with his Support Worker.
