A nice little job recently completed in flinders view using our very sleek concrete blocks. We also worked beside a concreter who we highly recommend and supplied and layed empire zoysia with some great undersoils to complement the turf. Very happy with the outcome and so are the clients.!

Back to New Beith almost 2 years on for our awesome clients Matt and Michelle, we layed the foundations for their fence matching the rest of the landscape design with 100 plus concrete blocks and many challenges to get the rake of a sloping block perfect. Thanks Jamie and kara from JKA haulage for carrying the blocks I love how we can help local businesses out.

Another massive year with rain and an endless supply of work we would like to thank all our clients and returning clients and wish everyone a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year’s from the Dowdig civil team. This is our last job for the year and definitely a challenge to complete with minimal machinery access, we used a vacuum excavation truck to remove all the dirt 18,000 litres of mud/dirt behind the wall stylish masonry constructed an 18 metre block wall core filled and the we back filled the entire wall with wheel barrow 18 tonne of drainage and soils.

So the weather has been a little unkind to our work load and while we what for some of our jobs to dry we have been busy fixing driveways that have been very affected with all the rain we have had. This is one we completed recently with recycled screened asphalt and it came up a real treat.

Hi everyone, over the last 3 weeks we (Dowdig Civil and Kirbys landscaping and civil) have installed … 👷‍♂️360 designer textured concrete blocks (220 face metres). 👷‍♂️ 120 lineal metres of concrete trench footings @ 150 thick, 👷‍♂️ 120 lineal metres of concrete piers leaving no room for collapse in the very sandy soils New Bieth is renowned for. 👷‍♂️ 70 lineal metres of concrete saw cutting @ 270mm deep for mitred corners with over 20 litres of 2 stroke fuel consumed. 👷‍♂️ 170 lineal metres of socked ag pipe and geo fabric. 👷‍♂️ 70 tonne of 20mm drainage material. 👷‍♂️ Over 300 tonne of concrete in this job. With hours of planning, submitting plans to engineers and the design changes over the course of the job to suit the customers needs… Not to mention the 300hrs of labor racked up on this one. 👏👏 We have absolutely enjoyed creating this magnificent job for our wonderful clients Matt and Michelle and would like to thank you both for your hospitality and communication amidst the job 🙏🏼, you guys have been an absolute pleasure to work with and to create this art work for you, it has been nothing short of fantastic. The weather is warming up and you guessed it where back in to turf laying. 2 days in this one with 50 cubic metres of premium underturf and 550m3 of turf layed.

The last week we have created something different and amazing at the same time for our clients Zoe and Cahill. 3 semi trailers and a b-double loaded with a premium texted concrete engineered 500x500x1.2 blocks to compliment their home. The best thing is we can seal them any colour you want to match your house. This is a wonderful product and the outcome has exceeded our expectations. The job itself was a big one but none the less it’s been a fantastic experience to do and can’t wait for the next one. We are fully licensed and insured now and have all engineering capabilities to build almost anything to do with retaining and landscaping. To say we are proud of what we do is an understatement. A nice little turf job this week with 400 squares of wintergreen installed for our clients karen and Ashley who were very patient with all the rain we’ve had over the past 6 weeks but finally done. Hey all, so first job back from the rain with 10 cubic metres of tea tree mulch, 18 metres of hardwood sleepers and 35 pavers installed all by hand in a day on a job we did today for Josie in Karalee. It was a tricky area, being a sewer and storm water easement. After multiple quotes at up to triple our price from company’s unaware of the area being a full sewer and storm water easement, DowDig Civil were the only ones to recognise this and offer a solution which was pleasing for the customer, easy on the hip pocket and legal for the proposed area.
