So I didn't have a cross peen hammer been using a Lump hammer refaced into a rounding hammer and rehandled, plus my favourite Ballpeen so I went to Total Tools bought a "Blacksmith" hammer refaced and rehandled. ( learnt to not use plastic or fibro glass handles)

My first Steak Flipper

So my beautiful darlings wedding 💍 doesn't fit at the moment. So today I put a piece of 6mm round stainless in the forge. Made with love will do till we can get her gold one resized.

So my sweet darling asked for a hook to hold a lighted wind chime, just over half hour at the Anvil and bingo Bongo

Just over an hour and a half at the forge today, Straightened one side of the yoke up to use it as a small horn, made 2 different bottle openers and a spade finial hook

So latest projects, my first bottle opener and a leaf hook both forged out of Iron.

So fed up with everytime I want to cut something in the smithie I have to find a knife or get mine out of its pouch so with a little piece of 1095 carbon steel I made my first blacksmith/viking knife.

Been using this for a while now and seems to hold up ok. stitch Forged Paste Wax.

So yesterday I had a comment on a page that my little leaf looked like a brickies trowel well today I made this.

My darling wife wanted a hook to hang from a rafter in the dinning room so I forged 2 feathers and made a hook.

I see a lot of Blacksmiths making Leaves so I decided to give it a go, being Australian mine are styled from the Gum leaf.

I made a couple of Dinner Bells/Triangles then refined the hook for them.

I made a punch and a couple pairs of tongs to start with.

So I learnt a little blacksmithing in the late 80's and made some swords and daggers for the Medieval recreationists in the very early 2000's. I then sold off my Tongs, hammers, anvil and other bits just keeping the forge and furnace. So for now I am using this piece of rail line.

My wife and I were up the backyard one day in August 2023 and came across my old forge and wood fire furnaces, that have not been used since around 2002 and have sat up the back under some tin since 2006. So I decided to refurbish the disc plow forge and turn the small furnace into a forge then my sweet wife surprised me with a gas forge from Vevor.
