WEEKEND RESULTS

Our Men's Seniors and Reserves faced tough Friday night games going down fighting 4-1 and 4-0 respectively. Despite the results, the performance on the night was much closer and we know we'll be able to take teams to the sword in the coming weeks.

Our Thirds faced Skye at home, dominating every minute if play in a 5-0 drubbing which could have been a much higher scoring affair. They remain undefeated from the first 4 games sitting equal top of the ladder, only behind on goal difference.

In the late Sunday fixture, our Fourths faced Pakenham away and dominated the game convincingly, winning 6-2 for their first win of the season.

Big games for all teams next week as all 4 teams play at home.

FRIDAY NIGHT FIXTURES

Our Men's Seniors and Reserves face another local rival in Chelsea FC tonight. An important game played under lights at Chelsea, our Men's Seniors and Reserves look to capitalise on the momentum from the last few weeks. The game promises to be an absolute belter for all fans.

And on Mother's Day on Sunday our thirds and Fourths are facing Skye at home, and Pakenham away respectively. Both games look poised to promise lots of goals and lots of competition.

WEEKEND RESULTS

Our Men's Seniors side came out dominant winners in the local derby, smashing Keysborough 3-0 at home, showing just how good we can be. In the Reserves game, a 3-3 draw didn't reflect the state of play as our Reserves deserved more out of that game.

In our Sunday fixtures, the thirds travelled away to Chelsea and saw out a comprehensive and dominant 5-2 win, going up 3-0 within the first 20 minutes before play settled for the remainder of the game. In the early fixture at home, our fourths faced Waverley, and despite a strong start ran out to a 6-2 defeat.

Overall, a very strong performance from our boys, looking to keep that momentum into next weekend as we face Chelsea on Saturday, and Skye and Pakenham on Sunday.

A Big Weekend Coming Up with 3 Home Games!

On Saturday, our Reserves and Seniors host local rivals Keysborough with late kick off times for both teams in Round 6. Looking to continue the momentum found in recent weeks, both teams look to earn some important points and own the local derby.

Reserves Kick-Off at 3pm, Seniors at 5pm at home under lights.

Both Sunday sides are again in action this week as Round 3 comes around. Both earning draws last time out, this week proves a good opportunity to capitalise and score big points.

Our thirds are away to Chelsea, kicking off at 3pm at Edithvale Common, and our fourths play the Sunday Home Game, hosting Waverley Wanderers for a 1pm Kick-Off.

What an eventful weekend it was! Here's a quick rundown of the thrilling matches that unfolded:

🥅 Seniors Match:
Despite putting up a valiant effort, our Seniors faced a tough challenge away from home against an undefeated side, ultimately losing 3-1. While the result might not be what we hoped for, the team played well, positive signs for the season.

⚽ Reserves Match:
Our Reserves showcased their fighting spirit in an intense battle before the Seniors kicked off, ending the match with a well-deserved 2-2 draw! After a rough start, our reserves are looking strong and performing well.

🔥 Thirds Match:
The excitement didn't stop there as our Thirds delivered a captivating performance at home, securing a thrilling 3-3 draw! The energy on the field was electric, and our team's determination was truly commendable, dominating a majority of the match, staying in the lead until the 85th minute.

🌟 Fourths Match:
Last but certainly not least, our Fourths showcased their talent in an action-packed match away from home, ending with an exciting 2-2 draw! What could be considered a disappointing result after being up 2-0, is a fantastic sign of our depth this year. It was a closely contested battle till the end, and our team's grit and perseverance shone brightly.

WEEKEND RESULTS

Saturday saw State League 5's two promoted clubs face off against each other, looking to get bragging rights into next season. A draw for the seniors, 1-1, meant that Hampton Park went the season undefeated, an incredible effort, we'll be looking forward to facing off against next season in State 4! In the earlier game, the reserves went down 6-1, a result that was good enough for Hampton Park reserves to secure the double. Certainly, a rivalry we are looking forward to next year in both the Seniors and Reserves competitions!

Our Women's side looked to mend results from last week against the same opposition, this time earning a point at home in a tight battle. It was a strong second half that secured the point, and with one game left the Women's side look to secure 6th place next weekend.

The Metro Men's side faced Dandenong White Star in the early Sunday match, and despite a completely dominant performance in possession and opportunities, a very slow start led to a 3-1 loss. Next week, the boys will be chasing a win to get them into 5th spot.

4 HOME GAMES COMING UP

This weekend sees a full stack of home games for the Panther as we near the close of the season.

Starting off with our Men's Seniors and Reserves taking on Hampton Park in the final game of the season on Saturday. With both sides already securing promotion into State 4 next season, this clash may not mean much for the ladder, but bragging rights are on the cards heading into next year. Hampton Park come into this game unbeaten, can we spoil it? Kick-Off times the usual 1pm and 3pm.

Our Metro side plays Dandenong White Star, who stole the points in the dying minutes last time around in a tight battle. After a strong win last week, we are looking to finish off strong against an opponent who has been flying lately, a fiercely competitive game is on the cards. KO 11am.

Closing off the home game stacked weekend, the Women's side face off against Lilydale in the second of back-to-back games against the same opponent, looking to get one back on them after last week. Points are key if we want to secure 6th place for the season, coming up against 7th place next week in the season closer. KO 1pm.

Get down on either day to support the Panther for the last time this year.

WEEKEND RESULTS

Our Men's Metro side picked up the only win for the Panther this weekend on Friday night, seeing off Officer 5-1 in a dominant home performance. A hat-trick to James Shaw sealed victory, and places him as league top-scorer with 14 goals.

Also on Friday night, our Women's side faced tough opposition away at Lilydale Montrose going down 4-2. With both sides scoring in the opening 2 minutes the game was poised to be filled with goals, however goals from Katherine Webb and Alessia Colanzi weren't enough to keep the points.

A tough Saturday followed with both the Men's Seniors and Reserves going down, 5-2 and 3-0 respectively. The Seniors put up a good fight with 2 goals from Marcus Spivey before eventual winners Casey closed it out. With one game left to play for our Seniors and Reserves, promotion celebrations are starting to hit full swing.

2 Friday Night Blockbusters!

This week, the Women and Metro sides both play Friday night games in their respective Catch-Up Round fixtures, both looking to follow up last week's draws with a win.

Our Women face Lilydale Montrose away from home (8pm KO) this week, a side they will face again next weekend, a good opportunity to get the mental win ahead of that clash as well.

Our Men's Metro side faces Officer City at home (8pm KO) looking to break a string of games seeing 4 draws in the last 5 games. Get down to support the boys if you have the time.

Following lasts weeks confirmation of promotion into State League 4, the Men's Seniors and Reserves sides host Casey Panthers at home in the Battle of the Panther. We're looking to do the double on our named rivals as we close out a strong season in the penultimate game of the year. Kick off times back to usual, 1pm and 3pm.

WEEKEND RESULTS

A monumental weekend for our Senior Men's side who, after securing a win against Mt Martha 1-0, have secured promotion into State League 4 next season. Congratulations to all players and coaching personnel involved in this achievement, it has been a long time coming and it is well deserved. Before the Senior's game our Reserves kept out a tough Mt Martha side drawing 0-0.

The Senior Women's side fought out one of the performances of the season taking a top side the distance and securing a point away from home in a 3-3 draw. A strong performance this week lends itself to a strong close of the season with 3 games left.

Our Sunday Metro side drew 2-2 away from home against Pakenham, showing strong resolve to come back from 2-1 down in a game that should have seen a lot more goals. Also with 3 games left, the Metro side looks to finish with 3 very winnable games to conclude the season.
