When the back corner was for fun!

Blast from the past, 2012 and the transformation of my car was complete.

Still making the papers years later! This was in today’s Herald Sun.

Today we parted way with our Compact Speedcar. I wish Rod all the best with the car and look forward to watching his progress in the future.
Time to move onto more family oriented things and I can't wait to see where that takes us.
I want to thank everyone who made the journey possible, Al D'Alberto, Kingsley Allen of Fire Protection Services, my pit crew Mal and Dale. All of my sponsors (listed below) and my family (especially Sally) for their support and sacrifice in allowing me to race while they looked after the kids.

MotoSign Fire Protection Services Racing has come to an arrangement to have Will Vander Ark steer our V21 weapon at Bairnsdale this weekend with Dwayne Tournier managing the car.
With the young gun out of a drive after blowing a motor in the V18 Rob Crawford car, we are happy to give Will the opportunity. The combination should be strong - Good luck boys!

Well another Australian Title has come and gone.
We had a pretty good run in the heats albeit with a couple of issues with the car but still qualified 13th for the main event.
Unfortunately an oil pressure relief valve problem put us out of the main event before it started when we decided not to risk damage to the engine.
Thanks to Mal and Dale for their help and my family for their support. This was the last time I race and I have enjoyed the journey but now it's time to focus on family.

It was an honour to have Danny Stainer steer our car at the Victorian Title last night. He did an amazing job considering he didn't get a flying lap until heat 2 (mechanical issues) and had to come from grid 7 in the final after a 3rd and a win the the second and third heats.
He challenged for the lead late in the race and eventually finished third.
I must say Danny is a class driver and was prepared to put the car in places I wouldn't have ventured.
A big thanks to his guys on the night and my guys, Mal and Dale, for getting everything to the track while I was busy with a new baby.

Race cars are meant to be raced and next week it will be revealed that we have plans to race at the Victorian Title with one of the best drivers in the history of Compact Speedcars.

A good night at our season Presentation Night, managed to snare a couple of trophies for the season.
2nd in the B Grade points
3rd in the Outright Points
Roll over award, Again! (3 seasons running).
I was honoured to share Club Person of the Year with Andrew Lardner and to be promoted to A Grade.
