Back in the early 1980’s Gary and The Beers were just starting to make their way in the music industry. Things were tough prior to the band getting the life changing main support slot for the and Co Headline World Tour of 84’. Like many struggling musicians Gary was short of money, so he did what any bloke would do and answered an advertisement in the Quokka for a roadie position. The roadie position was for on his 82’ tour of the West Australian Wheatbelt. This song tells the story of what went on during that tour and how Gary and The E Street Band stood up to The Boss. They took a bloody stand! Bruce you’re not the boss of me mate!
