Ludovic went on a site visit to the 'other side of the mountain' (Dry's Bluff) this morning to see how one of his latest residential designs is being realised. This old house is being brought back down to earth by Liam McCarroll Building, who will reposition and extend it to provide more room for its owner.

Custom ‘floating’ mirror - How we install.

Instead of using store bought LED mirrors, we like to give our clients the option of choosing to use a custom size mirror to fit their space.

We start by waiting for finished opening size or vanity installation after tiling, we then approach our client and confirm a size, shape and finish of the mirror.

After confirming the mirror, we then cut a 16mm ply sheet to suit the mirror, which is then painted black. The sheet is cut 30mm smaller all the way around and is then glued and fixed to the wall using pre installed noggins at the rough in stage.

We then use a flexible led strip all the way around the edge wired to the main 4 gang switch as you enter the room.

The mirror is then glued onto the place and propped for 2-3 days.

Best way to make work enjoyable and keep team morale high, remember to have a stop and have a laugh. It’s not always meant to be serious 🤷🏼‍♂️

Just goes to show that you don’t need to blow the budget to get amazing results!

We always try and talk our clients into incorporating LED strip lighting into their project, it sure made this bath niche pop @ Arthur St, East Launceston.

Over that last few weeks we have been finishing off our projects in Lilydale and West Launceston.

Both clients came to us with an idea and a budget, it then became our job to deliver something that both LMB and the owners would be happy with, for the budget agreed upon. We strive to deliver high quality renovations and that is our main focus, but we will never lose sight of our clients who are just looking for a functional, simple space that doesn’t have the high end price tag.

We believe adapting to each individual clients needs is an essential part of the process, with each client being as important as the last.

CHOOSING YOUR BATHROOM LAYOUT.

When dealing with a small bathroom area, engage your builder early in the design progress. This will ensure maximum space creation. Using things like in-wall cisterns and vertical towel rails can drastically increase the feeling of space.

A property at Rowella we have been plugging away at with the help of a client. We are more than happy to work in with clients wanting to do things in stages or take on aspects of the project themselves. This client was a fan of natural hardwood so we have tried to use it through-out without overpowering any individual space.
