Mac Track 52nd Westernationals

Day 1 of the Mac Track 52nd Westernationals and mod bike is finished for the day. 2 qualifiers done. big wheel lift in qualifier 1 and a solid 10.26 in qualifier 2.
Now we’ll enjoy spectating for the day and back at it tomorrow.

We’ve been a little quiet on the posting front this year. We’ve been quite busy trying to set up the bike to launch a little harder. Our goal this year was to get the bike into the 1.6 second 60 foot zone and today we did it!
1.68s 60ft, .003 light to put us in top qualifier (for now) and a 10.167 E.T which is a PB. Shaved .001s off our previous PB

It wasn’t meant to be in the final but very happy to come out with a runner up for our first powapalooza 🤘🏼 congrats Luke Mad Wombat Racing. Back to it next Saturday for the season opener.

Back in action at the Perth motorplex for the powapalooza. This pass put us threw to the A final up against Mad Wombat Racing’s luke Seaton. 🤞🏼 we can put another good pass together.

🏁 Andra grand finals wrap up. 🏁

Day 1 seen the bike run the quickest it had ever run by a long shot. Our 10.168 pass put us within .091 of the tracks ET record.
This put us in 2 minds for Day 2. We weren’t sure whether to push the bike and myself or to just focus on staying consistent. We chose to try and go consistently faster 😂
This bit me in the arse in round 2 miss shifting first to second gear and hitting limiter. That was the night over for us.

The weekend was extremely successful for the development of the bike. We’ll go into the new season with a lot of confidence!

Day 1 of the ANDRA Grand Finals done and dusted.
It appears the bike is liking the new exhaust I fabed up last week! We smashed our PB with a 10.168! Also consistently running higher MPH.
We’re keen to see what tomorrow will bring.

Racing Update 🤘🏼

The western Nationals was a tough outing for us with the bike developing some shifting issues in Q4 we had our first taste of between round maintenance to try resolve the issue before round 1. We managed to get the bike back together as everyone was heading out to the staging lanes without getting to test the bike. We were a bit worried but went out and ran our number with a good light and took the win. Unfortunately we weren’t so lucky in round 2 with the shifting issue returning causing us to bow out by a couple of hundreds of a second 😳

We decided to pack the bike up and get it home to start problem solving. We made a few changes, tested the bike and everything has proven to run smooth since - including running a new PB (10.242) and winning a whoop ass Wednesday best package night.

Now we’re gearing up to race this Friday and Saturday for the Andra Grand Finals (final race of the year) 😢

Excitement for MacTrack Westernationals at Perth Motorplex!

The Perth Motorplex is only days away from hosting the 51st MacTrack Westernationals. The March 5th & 6th event is headlined by Australia’s best field of Top Doorslammers & Nitro Funny Cars.

The Western Australian State Government recently announced the border will open March 3rd, paving the way for interstate competitors and spectators to attend the event. Today’s further announcement of a crowd capacity limit of 50 percent for major stadium such as the Perth Motorplex, means the event will certainly go ahead with an excitable atmosphere.

There are now only limited tickets available and they are selling fast!

Everyone in the team plays such a big role in our racing. It wouldn’t be worth doing it without doing it together. Family 💪🏼

Our main goal as a team is to make a Daytona go as fast as possible with as much mechanical work, fabrication and tuning done in house as we can.
The method of how we get there will change over time but for now, our main focus is naturally aspirated and stock wheel base.
