What a difference a day makes!
Retic, summerstone quartz stone, redcore steel shapescaper edging and Palmetto lawn made this Wellard yard come to life.
Moving into a new home around here usually means ... sand. And rubble. And hoses with sprinklers.
Except when you have Brad's Planet magically come in before you arrive and get rid of the mess, colour in the sand with retic, lawn, plants, edging, mulch, steppers and stone. These Content Living clients will be stoked not to have sand blowing into every crevice.
A nice before and after in Greenfields today.
A scrappy front yard was fixed with new sand, retic and Palmetto turf, complemented nicely by a random pattern natural limestone wall. Thanks to Baker Bobcat & Truck Services and D&D Limestone.
This rental property in Greenfields had a neat little makeover thanks to Brad's Planet and Designer Kerbing , with new retic, edging and Palmetto lawn.
A common Dawesville brief from the client: Get rid of the sand.
Here we have a full retic system, redcore steel edging, finished with Buffalo Palmetto turf. It's a great time of year to lay turf, but remember to get a starter water exemption.
A nice little before and after in Greenfields. New Palemetto grass for the dog and kids with no-maintenance concrete kerbing thanks to Designer Kerbing and easy reticulation. No more sand!
So this is what happens when your horse finds a hole and stands on your retic. Now you know.
A bit of a difference in Dawesville! A team approach put together a fantastic result.
With thanks to Baker Bobcat & Truck Services , Narrogin Bricks (made to order pavers installed by Sweet Az Paving , ) superstar offsider and allround legend Greg who helped Brad get the water sorted and has set a new personal best of 13 rolls of turf in the barrow, and Greenacres turf (Kikuyu Village Green).
The brief: "get rid of this weird garden bed and put in turf, edging and retic".
The space took 20 cubic meters of clean sand fill to level. Thank goodness we had assistance from Baker Bobcat & Truck Services. Kerbing is charcoal easy maintenance concrete by Designer Kerbing .
Turf is locally grown hardy Palmetto Buffalo. Automated retic system operated by Hunter x-core controller, with mp rotators for excellent coverage.
The brief: "Clean up my backyard please guys, so I can use it."
So, we added a limestone wall, hand cleared the mess, installed a retic system (better than using a hose!) and lush Kikuyu Village Green turf.
These San Remo clients wanted a child-friendly lawn area and some hardy plants.
We re-configured the retic for new Kikuyu Village Green, added Quartz Summer stone, pre-release Lilly Pilly 'bonfire' for hedging (not yet available to the general public), a feature Bird of Paradise plant and Agapanthus, with Recor steel edging.
"Plants are hard work."
We hear that a lot. What we do is help you create spaces with hardscape and plants that are easy to care for and suit the climate and conditions. We set up a retic system and give you advice on caring for your garden.
We're getting closer to Autumn, so start thinking about how nice it will be to enjoy outdoor rooms at your place.
Photos: taken ten years apart. All work by Brad's Planet.
The task: get rid of the sand, extend the paving on the alfresco, make sure the dogs are happy and add a touch of colour, but also make the plants low maintenance and the whole thing fully reticulated.
Turf: Village Green
Plants: Camellia Sasanqua 'Weroona', Gardenia yellow.
Garden box: Limestone with bullnose capping
Finishings: quartz 'summerstone' and charcoal steppers.
Brad and Jake have built a lot of walls and garden beds in the last 12 years. They're built to last (the walls AND the boys!)
Hedge: Lilypilly 'Winter Lights'
It's not hard to tell here which is the before photo and which are the after. A quickie little makeover in Dawesville, with thanks to Designer Kerbing .
Another commercial property frontage completed, this time in Kwinana.
A wet morning with no power didn’t phase the guys as they dug into a front yard makeover in Bouvard. Loving the quality of Palmetto Buffalo at the moment.
We are often asked who our go-to guy is for hedges and trees. Here he is in action! It’s Rich from Affordable Cuts Tree Services. And the hedge? That’s a Lilypilly Winter Lights native screen that we planted ten years ago.
The brief at Origin Chiropractic in Mandurah was to make the rear yard into an inviting space. Makeover included complete clear, new retic, turf, edging, mulch and decking. Team collaborators on this project included Baker Bobcat & Truck Services and Designer Kerbing .
Ahhh, how nice is it to be freshly laid... This brand new Palmetto in Falcon is for a grandchild and puppy to play on.
Mmmmm... fresh natives...Nom, Nom. This nice idea was spotted in a high-roo traffic zone, but these plants aren't going to last long on the verge.
The owners of this holiday home wanted to spend their relaxation time looking at birds and a lovely fire pit instead of weeds and mess. Part of the team for this job: Designer Kerbing , Baker Bobcats and Truck Services, Greenacres Turf.
Turf is starting to go in again. This yard in Falcon received a boost with hardy Palmetto and a top quality retic system.
We love it when a plan comes together. A great job by the team, finished this week in Dawesville.
New boots? Nah... Still good.
