DIG CT
A niche global mineral exploration company promoting the coil tubing (CT) drill rig.
Over the Moon with Moonera
After three successful months at Moonera Project, DIG CT’s coiled tubing rig delved to 500.9m, yielding high quality core samples every 50 metres.
As with any drilling program, there have been challenges, specifically record rain and flooding – all within our inaugural week of drilling!
Our highlights outweigh the challenges, and include:
- successfully completing two drill holes with a third about to start.
- drilling the deepest hole and core section ever achieved with the CT500 rig.
- the developing camaraderie among our growing team.
- meeting new bush friends (see images).
Moonera Project is approximately one hour’s drive east of Cocklebiddy or more specifically, 1231 kilometres (765 miles) east of Perth, Western Australia and 271 kilometres (170 miles) to the Western/South Australian border. The project was aptly named given its proximity to Moonera Agricultural Station, known for its vast pastoral enterprises (sheep grazing), reported to be larger than some sovereign countries.
Thanks to Moonera Station for hosting us as we prepare to mobilise for our Pilbara-based project.

Collaboration Encourages Innovation and Creativity
DIG CT is proud to have presented at MinEx CRC’s Open Day alongside leading industry subject matter experts and innovators to progress mineral exploration’s key technologies.
Thanks to CRC for hosting such a collaborative and insightful event and to all attendees – federal government, major and junior explorers, various state geological survey groups, and the mining equipment, technology and services (METS) sector for their continued interest and passion.

Nullarbor Bound…
The CT rig and crew are mobile and heading to DIG CT’s inaugural project at Australia’s Nullarbor Plain.
For the uninitiated:
- The Nullarbor is deemed the largest limestone on Earth.
- Many believe ‘Nullarbor’ is derived from Aboriginal culture. It’s Latin and translates to: ‘No Trees’ which isn’t entirely accurate as the Plain is peppered with drought resistant shrubs, saltbush and bluebush and Myall acacia trees frame its outer edges.
- Over 100,000 wild camels roam the Plain after being imported from British India and Afghanistan for transport while constructing the railroads during the 19th Century. Australia is the only country with herds of feral camels.
- If you ever make the journey, keep an eye out for wombats, emus and kangaroos.
- The Eyre Highway is deemed The Longest Straight Road On The Planet. All 146.6km (~92 miles) connects the towns of Caiguna and Balladonia.
- The Nullarbor Links is The World’s Longest 18-hole Golf Course. Each ‘hole’ is a different town or roadhouse along Eyre Highway from WA’s gold capital in Kalgoorlie to ‘The Oyster Capital’ in coastal Ceduna, South Australia. The course spans 1,365 km (848 miles) with ‘a round’ taking five days to complete.
Thanks to Australia's Mining Monthly for highlighting the CT rig's availability.
