Silverleaves Labradoodles

It's been a hot minute since we've introduced ourselves, Silverleaves Labradoodles is made up of two friends Lyndsey and Chloe....so we thought it time we reintroduced ourselves to all our new followers....starting tonight with me - Lyndsey...I generally run the social media for silverleaves.

👩‍💼 I'm a part time working mum, my son Joshua is nearly 5 years old and I am the partner of the world's most patient man, James. Our home is in Pakenham in Melbourne's southeast.

🏆 A long time dog lover and my past includes breeding and showing Dalmatian dogs. We've won Best in Speciality shows and bred multiple Australian Champions.

🏡 At home, you'll find me surrounded by 3 labradoodles and a Russian blue cat. 🐶

☀️ Beyond family and fur babies, I love sunny walks, workouts and hitting my local cafe for an oat milk Chai ☕🌞🏋️‍♀️

Miss Moo has been staying with us at Silverleaves HQ while her family relocates. In the meantime she has been bred to the ever so handsome Milo (Amalie Cloak and Dagger) and we have everything crossed for puppies 🤞🤞

Miss Moo's waitlist we could fill probably 3 times over....but it's now at capacity and we will announce once we have puppies on the ground any availability.

We are now looking towards 2025 🤯 if you are looking to add to your family in 2025 please get in touch. We already have 2 on our waitlist for our planned April litter. Get in early to avoid disappointment 😁

"Hi Lyndsey! We're going well, Maggie has honestly just slotted into the family like she was made for us. She had her 10 week immunisations on Friday, she was a champ! We had our first puppy school this morning, it was muddy so we had a bath after too. Lachie and Maggie are best friends, it's so cute. She just follows him around 😍"

We are SO excited for another Mylah litter in a few months time. At this stage her wait list is closed, but we will let y'all know once we confirm numbers if there is any availability 😁

We're now taking deposits for litters into 2025...we will confirm who's being mated to who shortly. But if you're interested in who we are and what we do then submit a waitlist enquiry, and we can book in a video/phone call and go from there 🙌

Just another photo of our first litter for cuteness 💕

I don't know why, but today I've been thinking a lot about our first litter.

Our first litter was our greatest learning curve as new breeders. Our foundation girl Winnie subsequently developed allergies after her pregnancy, our keeper girl Rosie from this litter also developed allergies and so did some of her siblings.

We made the heartbreaking decision to desex this line. The severity and frequency of these allergies meant that these dogs have a lifetime of management to keep them comfortable. This is not the life we wish for any dog let alone ones that we breed.

Anyways, I'm not sure where I was going with this, but you can rest assured that by purchasing a puppy from Silverleaves labradoodles whilst we cannot 100% guarantee our pups won't develop allergies or any other conditions. We are at least doing our very best to avoid them 😁

Guess who's back?!

Miss Mylah Moo!!!!

Mylah has been living her best life with my beautiful friend Astrid and her 3 teen kids. Mylah is a guardian for us at Silverleaves, but is in her forever home with Astrid and the kids.

Without our amazing guardian families we wouldn't be able to continue to do what we do 🥹

Mylah is back with us as she's just come into season. As a small scale breeder we will only breed if we have the demand, and the demand for Mylah pups is HUGE so we're giving the people what they want and mating Mylah to the gorgeous Milo (Amalie Cloak and Dagger) and will expect medium fleece coat puppies in choc, gold and black.

We will update any availability once the puppies are on the ground early October. 🤞

Maggie 🫶

This little angel was up at 5am this morning, but slept through from 9.30pm so I can't really be too mad 🤣

She's spending more time in her enclosure when we can't give her 100% of our attention. She complains a little still, but is getting better by the day.

We're going to have a Maggie shaped hole in our house when she leaves on Thursday 🥹

BUT....BIG news....Miss Mylah is back....for a visit 🤣 we will have some news to share about that shortly 😊

What a few days it has been...we farewelled Harry and Baxter and from all reports they're doing amazingly! We've had Maggie inside with us overnight which has been so much fun, she's slotted in perfectly 💕

Everyone is toileting outside with minimal accidents, sleeping through the night in their crates and just generally being awesome.

We are so proud of these babes and their families 💕

And then there was one 🫶

Maggie is here with us for the week, mumma Evie doesn't seem to mind 💕

Baxter (was Ron doggy) heads home tomorrow 🥹

Baxter is the biggest of the bunch and will leave a big snuggly hole here at Silverleaves.

He's got a great family lined up and I'm sure he will make us proud! 💕

Little Harry aka Hazza or Hazmat as the 4yo likes to call him 🤣

Harry is the first to leave tomorrow 🥹 he's going to a beautiful family with a big furry cavoodle brother called Jagger to play with.

Today the Harry potter pups are 8 weeks old and have graduated Hogwarts 🥹

Introducing our graduates:

- Harry Potter (he’s keeping his name, but I think he’s now more of a Harry Styles 😎)
- Maggie Hermione Grainger &
- Baxter Ron Weasley

They start going to their new homes Saturday and will be thoroughly missed.

Developmentally this week has been huge, they’re learning independent play, impulse control before their meals, toilet training is going from strength to strength too. We’ve had lots of guests of all ages, shapes and sizes which they’ve all taken in their stride.

We had the final photo shoot today and they look so grown up 🥹

3 puppies in the middle of a Melbourne winter has been a wild ride, I think we will be avoiding winter puppies from here on in 🤣🤣

We've been a little quiet around here...we've had a massive weekend!!

Hermione now has an AMAZING guardian family, we look forward to growing our extended Family. 🫶 how grateful are we for our existing puppy families referring us to their friends and families. 🩷 THANK YOU! We honestly wouldn't be where we are now if it wasn't for you!

Pups are 7.5 weeks and going to their new homes soon. What a ride it has been. 💕

We have been trying to wean her fully from her bubs, however that has meant separating her from her babes which has made her a little bit sad as she truly loves her babes.

Enter the surgical suit....arrived from (I bloody love next day delivery!)

And she has been able to be with her babies, play with them and not feed them 🙌 what a win! Happy mum, happy pups 😁

These pups are now little dogs, we’re into a feed, play, sleep routine they’re so ready for their forever homes.

Speaking of, we temperament tested them today, as we do all our pups....did you know...we don’t allocate pups until we have taken the time to spend with them one on one and really get to know who they are.

It’s not fair to them or their perspective owners not to get some insight on how we can best support these pups and give them the best start in life.

I always say imagine placing a dog that needs a little confidence boosting into a home with loads of kids and noise...or a higher energy dog into a home with older retirees that are needing something lower in energy.

Whilst before 7 weeks we have a pretty good idea of who’s who we take the pups on their own into a space they’ve never been before and set up a testing space which enables us to see how that puppy reacts.

Having this information means that we can help place the right puppies into the right home. 💕
