Northcote Tennis Club Campaign

On behalf of the Northcote community who have signed our petition and spoken of the neglected state of the courts… THANK YOU!! Kat Theophanous MP!!
We greatly appreciate your support. 🎾

McDonnell Park in the heart of is a well loved and heavily used reserve.

It’s also home to the Northcote Junior Football Club, Dennis Cricket Club and Northcote tennis courts as well as a popular spot for exercise, dog walking and picnics.

But the facilities have faced some real challenges when it comes to maintenance, upkeep and accessibility.

So this week I was thrilled to share with the three clubs that the State Labor Government is stepping in with a grant of up to $250,000 to deliver reserve upgrades.

The project will help uplift the area, support participation in community sport and improve amenity for locals 🏏🏉🎾🧺

Some progress at the courts!
Council are installing new nets this week! Also, the courts are being cleaned and maintained with new sand applied next week. Lights and toilets still on the agenda!! Let’s get this place ready for Spring!
