📣 In case you didn't know - the NDIA have developed a new fraud tip-off form!
Copy pasted from NDIA's newsletter 30 May 2024:
"The NDIA have created a new online tip-off form to report suspected fraud.
The new form will ask relevant and direct questions about the suspected fraud. This will give NDIA the important information they need to follow up properly and quickly. It will also mean NDIA can track data and prioritise resources to continue to combat fraud in the future.
You can continue to report anonymously using this new form.
The new online form can be found here: https://www.ndis.gov.au/form/ndia-fraud-reporting-form

Signed up to our platform is Good Choice Disability Services in VIC! Read about Good Choice Disability Services:
“Good Choice Disability Services was born from a desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those with disabilities. Our founder, a former skate and scooter instructor, witnessed firsthand the joy and confidence that mastering a new skill could bring to individuals with various disabilities.
This experience highlighted the significant, positive influence that supportive and fun learning environments could have. Inspired to continue making such impactful differences, he launched Good Choice Disability Services to extend this passion to a broader audience.
Starting in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs and expanding to the Mornington Peninsula, we’ve grown our services to include not only skill development but also comprehensive support across several areas of life. We believe that every individual deserves to enjoy a fulfilling, empowered, and independent life.
What sets Good Choice Disability Services apart is our holistic approach to disability support. We don’t just provide services; we create vibrant, inclusive programs. Each program is crafted to ensure that our participants understand their worth is not defined by their disabilities.
Our dedicated team works not only to meet the basic needs but to ensure that every participant feels valued and understood. This personalised approach helps in building strong, positive relationships with participants and their families, making us a unique presence in the NDIS space.”

Back to school for some kiddies from today! We hope you had such a fun school holidays and you kept warm, and safe! 🤗 Here is a revamp of one of our previous posts which looks at reflective prompts to use with your kiddies as you ease back into the term! Did you know our CEO is a qualified Social Worker!? She works with children in schools everyday and highly recommends keeping open, transparent, non-judgemental communication with your children. 🌞 These prompts look at both strengths, and factors where there might be room for improvement. It's important for us to also discuss areas to improve on, as it's all about positive coping skills, problem solving, and raising that resilience! We love to foster a supportive environment for our little ones to grow and learn!

A supplement to our Wellness Wednesday post this week! Some more journaling prompts for you to get you started.

Signed up to our platform is Beyond Disability Services in VIC! Read about Beyond Disability Services:
“We have been touched by a family member who has been impacted by disability who we have been advocating for on his behalf for the past 25 years. At times this can be a real struggle, especially when we consistently deal with services who are 'unable to help' or advise us 'he is not suitable'. We have made the decision to open up a Short Term Accommodation Respite facility to support families who care for a person with a disability like our family member who struggled to find suitable respite for their loved ones. Our background also entails working in the disability industry for the past 25 years so we understand the struggles that families face whilst trying to seek and utilise a trust worthy safe facility for their loved ones
What we hope to achieve? We believe that all families that care for an individual living with a disability deserve a well-earned break from their caring role. We aim to provide a respite service that is run more like a holiday stay for your loved one and will cater to the needs of each individual so our clients will get the most out of life
Our Mission? Beyond Disability Services is committed to creating a safe comfortable environment where the individual will feel at home. We are dedicated to ensuring a service of excellence through a commitment and dedication to empowerment, inclusions and participation

A new Wellness Wednesday post for you 🧠 This one is about putting thoughts on to paper or journaling! ✍️ Have you ever tried journaling before? Did you know it could help you feel less overwhelmed and experience less cognitive load (i.e. it can help reduce the stress on your working memory to focus on a task - if you're stressed about something, naturally you may not be able to focus on what to do next!)
We know it's not some magic solution to problems or concerns, and it may not help everyone or may not be for everyone! But it's definitely worth trying.
