For many of us, going to the beach is as simple as slip, slop and slap. For those living with autism, sensory issues, anxiety or social differences can mean that different sounds, smells, textures and the waves themselves can be overwhelming. But Ocean Heroes Australia is helping empower autistic people to try surfing with free sessions around Australian beaches to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. Ocean Heroes are part of the Bupa Foundation Community Grant program and we are so proud to see them in action, giving kids and adults new confidence to their everyday lives.
