Service Technician

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced service technician to join our team! This is a crucial part of the team here at Funktion and your wealth of knowledge in this complex role will be invaluable.

The Role

We are looking for a service technician to maintain our existing range of coding equipment as well as Installation on new systems and printers.

Hours, normal working hours 8:30 – 5:00 Monday – Friday

The role will be maintaining the following technologies

Desktop Printers
Labellers and Labelling systems
CIJ (Our brand but also Videojet)
TTO (Our brand but also Videojet)
Label creation Software
The role is for:

Periodic maintenance
Ad Hock breakdowns
Installations
The Requirements

Experience within the industry, coding and labelling equipment experience essential.
Good interpersonal skills, including clear and concise communication– both written and verbal.
Commitment to exceptional customer service with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Electrical certification for installations
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Capable of working under pressure with a can-do attitude and is a quick learner.
Good time management, organisation skills and an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Flexibility
Honesty, reliability and a great personality.

The first thing you see is the modern design line in which the 6.5" touch display, included as standard, is a striking new feature. It allows for intuitive manual operation: quick, direct and uncomplicated. The printing process is quick as well: with speeds of up to 350 mm/s and additional transfer tape optimization, there are hardly any comparable label printers which can hold a candle to the Spectra II here.

Myself and the Funktion Australia Pty Ltd team had a great time with our partners Arca in Germany at the Interpack trade show last week. We spent a lot of time focusing on the new generation of laser print and apply marking machines. We will be presenting more information about these shortly.
