A LITTLE BIT ABOUT DAN……

Dan Vogl is a high vibe, indie rock nroll artist, from Melbourne, Australia.

In 2017 Dan released his debut single ‘If I Die’ after being awarded a songwriters scholarship at The Australian College of the Arts. It received airtime on Triple J, a video feature from Speaker TV and was used in the TV series 600 Bottles of Wine on Network 10 and Netflix.

Dan has shown versatility in his live performances, supporting the likes of indie rockers British India, folk singer/songwriter Bob Evans and has toured with new wavers, Pseudo Echo.

He has performed at festivals like The Hills Are Alive and Eltham Street
Festival. He has performed shows at iconic Melbourne venues like Northcote Social Club, The Gasometer and The Workers Club.

“Thanks to our mates at Single O, we’ve created a decadent coffee stout that heroes their special Firecracker blend to see out our 2024 Stout Series with a bang.

Inspired by their new coffee bar in Shibuya, Tokyo, and the Sumida Fireworks Festival, one of the many summer festivals in Japan, we’ve added chocolate covered strawberries and black sesame to complement the huge cherry and chocolate notes from the coffee. The result is a layered, balanced stout with an extra milky body for extra indulgence.

Note: This beer does not contain sesame seeds. In the end we felt that enough of that character came from the coffee.

Ingredients: Water, malted barley, malted and unmalted oats, lactose (from milk), hops, yeast. Contains milk. “ -

Tonight from 7.30pm we welcome a new musician to The Grape & Hop - Simon Paparo. You may recognise Simon’s face as he came 3rd in “Melbourne’s best Busker” competition that was featured in the Herald Sun. As well as being an accomplished solo guitarist Simon is also a producer and score composer. He works with Australian and international based artists to record their music at his studio, Four Doors Studios. We are looking forward to having him in the bar for some Friday night fun!
