Newport Drummers at Altona Beach on Sunday night. A beautiful way to celebrate Spring equinox.
Some history - pictures of Newport Lakes - you can guess the years (add in v2) and some current ones of the Newport Lakes Bush Dance that we have been holding since 2006. Come and enjoy Sunday March 17 3pm.
The club has supported the storytellers with some new gear improving the quality of our hybrid sessions. Adrian Newington does all the hard work attaching the wires and plugs. With these sessions we can include guests, friends and family wherever they are in the world. If you’d like to join us and invite friends into the zoom, the link is always in the Club News delivered to your inbox. Here’s a sample of Adrian entertaining us in the room and friends in Bermagui, Tasmania, Queensland and Ballarat! We gather on the 3rd Friday of the month (barring) April. Check the NFFC website for details 😊
Greg O’Leary’s retirement dinner at the Newport Bowls Club: safe to say there was not a dry eye in the house when this pre recorded message to Greg popped up on the screen. Recorded by Dino Halder from his school in Bangladesh, Greg has supported this school in several ways, one of those being violin lessons over zoom. With a 3 second delay, this is no easy feat!
Greg O’Leary’s retirement dinner and the pre- recorded messages were a highlight. Jill Dawson beamed in from Canada and celebrated the guest of honour with some tunes. Thank you Jill ❤️🙏🏻
For those of you who were not able to be with us at Greg O’Leary’s retirement dinner we’re posting a few photos and videos. Fb is asking for one video at a time so have a scroll and enjoy. It was a marvellous evening and celebration of Greg, who has contributed so much to our community and beyond.
