Forcing myself to look onwards and upwards, to keep my hope intact, and to channel my rage at the military industrial complex by playing beautiful music for beautiful people. Thinking of Palestine, remembering Palestine, never forgetting Palestine. Syria too obviously, always on my mind and in my heart. Syria and Palestine, both and always; the beat of the drum of my life.

it’s been a minute since my last fill on so this morning on was truly exciting. I explored deep dubs and musical experiments from around the globe, tapping into Tuareg grooves, UK bass, dub from Tunisia, Egypt and Belgium, percussive house from Japan and Balearic house from Serbia, not to mention some diasporic music that celebrates the breadth of Australia’s migrant communities. you can listen back to the entire show on the PBS website x
