Bridge Spam Part 2 Footscray locals may have spotted an engineering feat underway over the weekend, with the team successfully installing a 110-tonne pedestrian bridge over Ballart Road for the New Footscray Hospital project. Posted @withregram • @kaneconstructions 60 Moorabool St is now complete! The new nine-storey building in the heart of Geelong's CBD is the home to @gmhba new state-of-the-art headquarters. Works included both the base build and integrated fit-out. The project scope includes retail and commercial office spaces, two levels of basement car parking, and streetscape works along Moorabool Street, Corio Street, and Gore Place. The building is designed to achieve 5 Star Green Star Design & As-Built v1.2 certification, and a 5 Star NABERS energy rating. Construction has commenced on the $1.5 billion new Footscray Hospital, Victoria’s single largest investment in health infrastructure. The new hospital will feature more than 500 beds, enabling care for almost 15,000 additional patients and allow an extra 20,000 people to be seen by the emergency department each year. There will also be more outpatient, mental health, palliative care and surgical services. The hospital is being delivered as a public-private partnership, with Western Health as the public operator of all clinical services and the Plenary Health consortium contracted by the Victorian Government to finance, design, construct, and maintain the hospital for 25 years following construction completion. The consortium comprises @plenarygroup as sponsor, investor and asset manager; @multiplexconstruction as builder; @honeywell and @compassgroupaus as facilities and maintenance managers; @4dworkshop as structural engineer, an architectural design team is led by @coxarchitecture and @billardleece.
