Great transformation on this backyard including a heap of retaining works, travertine pavers, seated area, putting green, plants galore and lighting.
MT WAVERLEY- So much beauty amongst a million spikes
Never been a fan of cake so this stack of cinnamon donuts seemed more fitting to celebrate my 18th year in business! The greatest accident to happen to me was falling into this job that quickly became my passion, an addiction, and absolute obsession.
Year 12 Graphics paying dividends 🙄 3 concept sketches for the week done
If it makes you happy, it doesn’t need to make sense to anyone else.
Wheelers Hill project at night casting some nice shadows
HOME- nestled between my office, bedroom and hallway, this courtyard was designed to always hear the sound of running water and be a place where I can just chill and watch the fish.
We always talk about tone and texture in design and this beautiful Pratia white star was always going to be the hero to soften the honed concrete channels.
Home is not a place, it’s a feeing!
Always nice returning to clients gardens and seeing a tonne on growth in this native garden. Yellow buttons, carex, westringia, and xanthorrhoea all combining with timber, stone and rock
New curb appeal for Cent’anni restaurant
Just because the sun goes down, doesn’t mean you have to stop admiring your garden!
Today the plants and lights finally went in on our east Oakleigh project in what’s been a slow build up to a remarkable transformation. Subtle lighting on the sandstone boulders, timber screens, decking, crazy paving and plants adds a new drama to this garden making it a space to be enjoyed during all hours of the day. Thanks to for the pics
Just because the sun goes down, doesn’t mean you have to stop admiring your garden! This beautiful transformation has been a slow and patient build up to what is a phenomenal space. Today the plants and lights finally went in showing off our sandstone seats, honed concrete, ironbark screens, paving, decking and feature plants. But it’s after dark when a new ambience is created. Thanks to for the pics
CENT’ANNI- the brief was simple, give it an Italian feel!
I drew a basic concept that involved terrazzo style concrete, cobblestone paving that’s synonymous with Italy, and of course plants to suit. These included non fruiting olive trees (so all the local nonni wouldn’t pick the olives!) pencil pines, westringias for their Smokey grey and a few more.
The uplighting on the feature trees is a subtle note to further enhance that evening ambience.
Together, all these elements create a harmonious and modern entrance to compliment their elegant cuisine.

I used to hate paving with a passion, especially crazy paving. It’s time consuming, fiddly, and frustrating. But the end result is beautiful and realised the journey is always worth the work. This wall is a backdrop to my own courtyard pond and has been done in what little spare spare time I have. Whilst there’s been no control over the build, this is the only thing I can control so I come here funnily enough to de-stress, take my time, and learn the art of patience one visit at a time.
Oakleigh East (or East Oakleigh I know it’s a contentious topic so insert abusive comments below) but damn this job is tracking along nicely. Forming part of a sunken fire pit, I thought crazy paving would look ideal in this nook of the garden with our huge sandstone slabs to compliment the look. They not only act as our seats but also retain some of the garden beds behind so win win. Thanks to my makita angle grinder for not sh****ng itself during the 500 odd cuts.
Mt Waverley- Serious street appeal. Short setback with hidden rock retaining wall for the house on top of the hill!
