Some of you may or may not know I am a Health & Nutrition Coach, specialising in Womenā€™s Health and Gut Health.

The reason I became a coachā€¦

Before I became a coach, to put it simply, I was digging myself into the ground, becoming more unhealthy and mentally unstable day by day.

Growing up, I was a kid who was, yes, quite chubby. It was natural. It wasnā€™t because I ate horribly; I was super lucky to have grown up in our household where I was taught to eating healthily but also balanced. But I was still chubby.

I was teased, and bullied about my weight, and felt like I didnā€™t ever fit in because of the way I looked.

When I got to about Year 8 in high school, I began to start losing weight. Not because I was trying, but just because thatā€™s what my body was doing. I was losing my ā€œpuppy fatā€.

The weight loss made me excited and made me want to look into getting healthier and leaner.

I saw numerous magazines, Facebook posts, and articles all about how to lose weight, and the moral of the story: they all said that I just needed to eat less and move more.

All of which I did! And yes, weight loss happened.

I got so many compliments about how good I was looking, all because I was thinner, which just spurred me further into eating even less and moving more.

Fast forward a couple of years, I had probably lost 20kgs, was severely underweight, was severely under-eating, and was on the verge of an eating disorder.

But I kept going.

It got to a stage where activities I used to love doing like running, I could no longer do without walking. Now, walking during your runs is fine, but for me, going from running 15kms at around a 4:30 m/km pace to barely being able to run 5km at a 7:00 m/km pace and having to walk in between was a shock for me, and I knew something was wrong.

I became severely anemic from my under-eating and developed a whole host of gut health and hormonal issues.

I decided to work with a sports dietician to help me improve my health, improve my gut health, get my period back, and get back to a healthy weight.

That worked for sure, but it didn't last very long until I was back to my old ways, which I thought I had resolved. But no.

Luckily, I actually started to tune into my body again and realized, I had indeed again lost my cycle, and I was again super fatigued and had no energy or joy for life.

After a couple of years of navigating my health by myself, I did regain my cycle which was great, but I was dealing with CRAZY gut issues which were still affecting my energy, my skin (I got quite bad eczema), my health, and basically developed a whole new host of symptoms due to my poor gut health.

I did so much research into why I had such horrible symptoms and how I could heal my gut.

And to be honest, there wasnā€™t much out there in terms of help, because doctors just give you the general diagnosis of ā€˜IBSā€™ and try eating ā€˜LOW FODMAPā€™. So I tried that, but nope, it didnā€™t work.

I then looked into working with a naturopath to heal my gut, by doing a crazy long gut protocol which was very, very restrictive. It worked, but from what I know now, it was way too extreme, not sustainable and cost me thousands of dollars.

I went on to be mentored by Functional Health And Fertility Expert - Holly Sinclair, Owner of The Women Series. And wow, did I learn from her.

I mentored with her for a couple of years and am still currently mentoring with her.

She made me fall in love with health, specifically gut health.
She made me realise the impact that gut health can have on every aspect of health and how our body is so interconnected.

She provided me with the tools to completely change my clients' lives. I have now successfully helped so many women reclaim their gut health to achieve their overall health and body composition goals, and I couldnā€™t be happier to be in this industry, helping women every single day feel and look better.

This is not meant to be a sob story, but IT IS meant to be my story.

I work to change people's lives; that is what I call success.

I love coaching people who want to turn their life around, whether itā€™s getting rid of someone's acne or eczema, or if it's losing 5kgs or if it's improving someone hormonal health. I love it!

The fact I have already been able to do this for the past 2 years is a dream come true and Iā€™m not stopping.
