Dry land Exercises with Emily Calling all those starting to learn breaststroke or looking at working on that kick. Introducing Penguin Feet Walk! Walk like a penguin around the home. Try doing it while squatting. It's a lot harder than you think!!! This exercise assists with the movement for breaststroke kick. Ensure toes and ankles are flexed as this is one of the hardest parts of breaststroke kick that students can struggle with. Penguin feet walk will also help teach correct ankle movement. So have fun and get walking. #SurreyParkSwimming #Community #Breaststroke #Technique

Dryland Exercises - Learn to Swim
Quarantime with SP - BREASTROKE KICK EXERCISES Today Emily is taking you through a great way to practice your breaststroke kick while we are in isolation. Practicing this drill will help with propulsion through water and body position with the stroke. Breaststroke is one of those strokes that can take a little time to master, so the more you practice, the better equipped you will be when you head back to lessons. So go find that seat and socks and check out the video. Tips: - Start with pointed toes - Rest socks on top of toes - Bring feet to chair - Flex ankles and toes (penguin feet) - Small circle and snap Breaststroke kick on a seat is a great exercise to teach correct kick motion so enjoy and have fun. Maybe you could get everyone in the family to try this one? Don't forget to share it with us as we love to see you all having a go... #SurreyParkSwimming #LearntoSwim #SwimmingSavesLives #Community #KeeponSwimming
