Serving our Community to do so much more together than we can do alone! Lions - We Serve.
PO Box 7057 Karingal Centre Vic 3199
Did you know there are many people in our community isolating due to the pandemic?
Each day we receive so many requests for fresh fruit/veg, pantry items and cooked meals.
We can't keep up with the demand because we simply don't have enough products.
Those most vulnerable in our community need our help and this is where we need your help.
Please consider donating an item or two if you're in a position to add an extra item to your shopping trolley. We can be contacted here via private message, in the chat on this post, via email at [email protected] .
Alternatively, you can make a monetary donation to:
Account Name: Flourish
BSB: 633-000
ACCOUNT #: 168072957
Every dollar you donate goes towards helping those in need. This is a small way in which you can help us to make a profound impact for the people who need it most in our community!
Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity.

CONNECT, COLLABORATE & CELEBRATE!
Social Inclusion Week is about connecting local communities, workmates, family and friends, in order to build and strengthen relationships or networks and address isolation and exclusion of those who may be marginalised.
Lions don't just serve the world, we are the world. And our diversity means that there will always be Lions ready to address the issues we face. Our Lions Club is making a difference in our community by helping in many ways.
So many people recently have been affected the COVID - 19 Pandemic. Some have lost jobs and income, others their homes and businesses and some have contracted the virus and others have had to isolate. Through it all, no matter what reason a person or family has required assistance; we've been there handing out food, toiletries and clothing. Everyone has the right to have a safe place to sleep and food to nourish them.
We're so privileged to be welcomed into our communities lives with the stories of their struggles and challenges.
On Sunday 14/11/21 we had 1st VDG David Culpitt visit. He inducted in our new board, new member Sue and told us all about International President Douglas Alexander’s theme of ‘Service from the heart’ as well as District Governor Steve’s theme of ‘Serving together, achieving together’. Our Zone Chairperson Julie Swan introduced him and we thank them both for taking the time to visit our club. Thank you to Moo Chocolates - Wholesale Prices for providing morning tea.
World Kindness Day is a global day that promotes the importance of being kind to each other, to yourself, and to the world.
The purpose of this day is to highlight and encourage good deeds in your community. It also serves as a reminder too hat all simple acts of kindness have power and that together, we can all work to create a kinder world.
While we are out of lockdown, there are many isolating because they've either contracted COVID or they've been exposed to someone with the virus meaning they also need to isolate as directed by DHHS.
What this means for us is that there are many requests each and every day. We hate turning people away because it takes a lot of courage to ask for help. However, we can't help our community if we don't have what people need.
So here's where we need your help. If you can, please add a few items to your grocery shop and donate them to us so that we can pass them along to those in need in our community.
Here are some examples of the things we need:
Cereal
UHT Milk
Sugar

The Lions Club of Karingal
The Lions Club of Karingal was formed and chartered in 1975 and has assisted many local charities, agencies, families and individuals in need since that time.
Our efforts are directed in most aspects to those in need in our local community, but we also involve ourselves in projects that focus on state, national and worldwide issues of need and care. Wherever there is a need there is a Lions Club ready to provide assistance.
Being a Lion is not all hard work - we enjoy fellowship and make lifelong friendships as we socialise and work towards our common goals.
Membership of a Lions Club is open by invitation to all people of good standing in the community and offers: Opportunities to become involved in the community, to assist those less advantaged and to have a say in how this help is delivered, friendship & fellowship, an opportunity to develop leadership skills and community and business networks.
