Lorraine Go for Gold
πŸŽ‰ Meet Lorraine, one of our Go for Gold scholarship winners from last year! πŸ†βœ¨ Lorraine's creative spirit shines bright as she passionately pursues her love for making greeting cards. Living with primary progressive MS, Lorraine faced challenges that impacted her ability to craft by hand. Thanks to the Go for Gold scholarship, Lorraine now has a new electronic die cutting machine that cuts intricate designs on paper, allowing her to create personalised cards for her loved ones. Recently, Lorraine created a special card for the Wurundjeri Elder who performed a Welcome to Country at our Footscray Wellbeing Centre opening. Her heartfelt gesture perfectly captures the spirit of community and connection we hold dear. We're inspired by Lorraine's resilience and creativity, and we're honored to have played a part in helping her pursue her passions. πŸ’ŒπŸŽ¨ Keep shining, Lorraine! Your creativity brightens our world. #GoforGold #MSPlusCommunity Today is the last day to get your application in for our 2023 Go for Gold scholarship! Benefits of Plus Hydro
πŸ‘‰ Benefits of Plus Hydro 🐠 What are the benefits of exercising in water for people living with MS and other neuro conditions? β€˜Hydrotherapy uses the positive effect of water in many ways, including reduced pain and swelling, muscle relaxation, mental health and overall quality of life. Additionally, because the water is constantly moving, muscle activation is constantly required to stabilise, therefore increasing strength, flexibility, and balance.’ says MS Plus exercise physiologist, Caitlin. One day to go... "I'm an ordinary person, I just happen to have multiple sclerosis. I'm no different to you or you or anybody else." Nigel MS Plus...launching tomorrow!

"My wish is that other people in the same situation, be afforded the same care if they need it." - Rod Rod believes everybody living with MS deserves the very best care. Rod knows this first hand as his wife, Lynette, has lived with MS for over 20 years. Rod’s devotion to Lynette shines through when he talks about her and the reasons why he has chosen to leave a gift in his Will to MSL. If you'd like to know more about how you can leave a legacy that will have a positive, lasting impact – and help to support Australians living with MS visit https://mymslegacy.org.au Video description: Rod narrates the story of his life with his beautiful wife Lynette who lives with MS over a montage of photos and footage of the couple sharing life together. From parrot feeding experiences, to sitting together at a table in their garden, the images and footage cycle through from the past to the present. There are a few cutaways to Rod standing and speaking directly to camera.

Give a gift that's BIGGER than you! What is Gift Planning? Gift Planning is a chance to leave a genuine legacy that will have a profound human impact. It's a means for you to make a mark – to support and empower those living with MS to live well and overcome the challenges the condition throws at them. Over the years many generous people have selflessly donated their estates, assets, property, and financial contributions through gifting to MSL through their Will. You can read all about them here ----> πŸ‘‡πŸΌ https://mymslegacy.org.au/supporters-like-you/ Any gift, big or small, can make a major difference. Even 1% or 2% of what is left after taking care of family and friends. If you’d like to know more about MS Gift Planning you can give us a call on 1800 443 867 or send us an email at [email protected] Video description: A subtle drop shadow in the shape of a heart appears on a red background.
