As the curtain begins to fall on 2022 and the last day for the year, a heart felt thank you to our supporters, volunteers and contributors who have made us who and what we are today, an incredible movement, filled with love, hope and endless faith for and in humanity. We served and help feed over 52000 means this year, as well as clothe and refurbished over 123 homes. If we can help our fellow humans navigate through life's challenges with a plate of great food, a conversation and a smile,hug along the way then our job is done. Kindness is free, therapeutic and soothes the soul. Q: since rehousing some of our street humans and needing good furniture, I have had a few calls from kind ppl donating great quality furniture. Problem is, I have 2 ppl on waiting list for government housing for next month and need a storage unit to hold all this furniture until then and I’m sure more to come. Ok guys. Still up researching and after talking to some of patrons sleeping at market tonight on cardboards and newspapers … and now a lil warmer thanks to all the sleeping bag and blanket donations (thank you) I found this item below is like 4 cardboard boxes combined and easy for them to carry as they are generally asked to move by some ridiculous hour in morning. Ideally I’d love to build a shelter, I’m working on that… however for now, here’s my thought. If we all bye 1 and get our close mates or family members to buy one , then we’ll have 100’s and I’ll go around and hand them out with mum and who ever would love to come . Beats sleeping on concrete any day. It’s affordable and will help so many beat this cold Melbourne winter. Thanks to Ash Dunn’s mate Rebecca Nune’s and her Hubby for the great idea as they delivered a few yesterday. Tents are welcome as well… just saying
