Spark Night 2017 | Project Profile | Ash Bellett
"A wireless channel describes how an environment changes electromagnetic waves as they propagate from point A to point B. Current channel models use statistical descriptions of the environment to calculate wireless parameters such as path loss, signal-to-noise ratio and channel capacity. The aforementioned empirical models do not take into account the geometry or material properties of the environment. Statistical data will not tell you how a specific site will impact the received signal. My FYP (Wireless Channel Modelling and Optimisation using Ray Tracing) aims to develop a deterministic approach to wireless channel modelling. My research will be showcased at the 2017 Spark Night at Monash University. I encourage students who wish to impact the world to consider Engineering as a career foundation. Engineering is a field that will position you to make tangible, disruptive change in an increasingly technologically-dependent society" - Ash Bellett Ash will be presenting his final year project at Spark Night 2017. This is just a small preview of one of the 91 projects that will be displayed at the event! We invite you to Spark Night 2017
We invite you to Spark Night 2017! This is a night not to be missed - we invite you to come, listen, participate, question, network and, most of all, be informed of the new ECSE Innovations, Technologies and Solutions! DATE: Wednesday 18 October 2017 TIME: 6pm-8:30pm PLACE: EH2 & EH3 Monash University (23 College Walk, Clayton) See the culmination of hard work and creativity of Electrical and Computer Systems final year students from Monash University. Justine Jaramillo and Aditi Sachdeva from Monash University's Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering (ECSE) present Spark Night 2017. A night open to the students and teaching staff of Monash University, final year students' friends and families, High School students and ECSE industry representatives. The focus of the night is to showcase the hard work the students have invested in their final year projects. All students that have completed their year-long project in the calendar year (in either the first or second semester) are invited to present their work at Spark Night. It is also a chance for the final year students to see the other projects their fellow peers have developed throughout the year. The Spark Night also celebrates the students' completion of their final year projects and their undergraduate engineering degree. All the attendees will be able to view posters detailing each students' final year project and interact with the students who created those final year projects. The projects are supervised by the ECSE learning/teaching staff of Monash University We look forward to seeing you at Spark Night 2017!
