Gratitude post 🌻

Adrian has been by my side since I was sexually assaulted in February.
The last 9 weeks have been heavy, dark, debilitating, frustrating & extremely tiring. I am learning first hand, the severe and lingering effects of SA trauma.
Adrian and I had only known each other for a few weeks prior, meeting the week before the assault. He barely knew me, and I, him.
But he chose to stand by me, going above and beyond to ensure I felt safe, caring for my dog when I couldn't. Words cannot explain the immense gratitude I have for you
I really don't know what I would have done without you! Thank you for stepping up, showing up and holding me so lovingly at my lowest of lows.
The last 9 weeks have been hard, yet you continue to love me through every hard day.
It amazes me that you had no reason to stay, none! I was a stranger to you, with a lot of trauma that wasn't yours to carry. You continually chose me again and again. You allow my beautiful border collie to treat your house like his own, this means the absolute world to me! You cook me nutritious meals, clean, wash up, service my car, clean my car, honestly, what don't you do?
Thank you for not giving up on me.
Thank you for making me feel safe, seen, heard & loved! Thank you for your constant affection.
Most importantly, thank you for not getting angry, yelling at me, or making me feel inferior! You are the most patient and loving man I have ever met!
I know I haven't been the best company at times, but I am determined to get through this and be the loving partner you truly deserve!
I am so very grateful to have you by my side

Want to feel better about yourself & get fit?

The only diet that works: A mental diet
Dieting from negative thoughts & negative people!

Love & prioritise yourself! 💕

Learn to love yourself instead of hiding behind your weight, anxiety, food, addiction, 'friends', 'family' or whatever distraction/coping mechanism you have!
They are all excuses!
Life is insane, I get it! It is tough!
But we decide how to thrive in this crazy life, regardless of what is thrown at us!
"Fall down 7 times, stand up 8"

Most importantly, choose your friends and environment wisely! Negativity is a terrible energy to have around you when working on yourself.

Don't be fooled, this diet is the hardest of them all!
Sitting with yourself, really thinking about what you want, who you want to be & how to get there can be lonely & isolating, but vital to your growth & success!

How do I know?
Because I am living this reality right now!
I made excuses for what I ate, who I was, not exercising & not prioritising myself. Especially for having the wrong people in my life. I held on to them because they were 'friends' & I didn't want to be lonely, but I have realised that genuine friends want to see you shine, just as you wish them to!
Genuine friends don't bring you down, they lift you up, even if you f**k up!
Surround yourself with positive people who want to see you succeed, who will love you through your own healing journey while you remove old mindsets, making room for the formation of positive ones!

Joining the Royal Flying Doctor Service running challenge in October was life changing!
I developed a passion for running & pushing myself through discomfort!
I raised $734 & ran a total of 142km for the month, which is more than I have ever run!
Looking forward to more runs and helping others fall in love with daily movement 🌻

What an epic year I have had!
Endless adventures & growth!
So many lessons learned over the last year, the biggest one; Learning to love myself fully.
I am still working on it but I am getting much closer!
Following my heart and passion has been a tough journey over the last few years, this year I took a huge leap and leaned into trusting it would all work out if I stay true to myself.
Guess what, it did!
I couldn't have done it without the endless support and love from my nearest and dearest, and kind strangers 🌻
29 has been my biggest accomplishment yet, 30 is going to be phenomenal!
