Hi Everyone, sorry I haven't posted anything in a while.I have been on leave since March due to being pregnant. I had a little boy at the start of June! 🩵

I have had 2 awesome sub contractors helping me keep my business running. It's been very hard for me to take a step back but so worth it! I am now going on 3 years of AK Electrical on Monday. 🥳🎊

Switchboard upgrade. Remove asbestos panel + ceramic fuses. Install safety switches for all sub circuits and label appropriately, Reinstall service fuse and metering.

4x suspension outlets completed in the new year, Client wanted them protected individually by surge protected outlets due to being sensitive electronic battery chargers used on the hoist.

Installation of underground power circuit + data to shed/factory and wire up to customers requirements. Power points, 2way switching and LED high bay lighting. Turned out great! I loved doing this one, was out of town and had to use the 10ft A frame ladder to run cabling and hang lights, something a little different 😊

Installation of a couple beside pendant lights controlled next to bed 😁👍 also done the ceiling fan and downlights.

Layed some undertile heating yesterday afternoon, also in the process of rewiring this old place as it had metal split conduit with VIR (Vulcanized Indian Rubber) insulated cable which just deteriorates when disturbed.

Before and after from Friday, getting rid of all the old lighting to upgrade to LED downlights with super quiet D.C ceiling fans.

Some Facts about the (safety switches) as I call them for simplicity they are actually called RCBO. The RCBO meaning is residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection. These devices are designed to ensure the safe operation of electrical circuits, triggering disconnection whenever an imbalance is detected. They are primarily used for the purpose of combined protection against overloading and short-circuiting against earth leakage currents.

As previously mentioned, the RCBO ensures protection against two types of electrical fault. The first of these faults is the residual current or earth leakage. This will happen when there is an accidental break in the circuit, which may occur as a result of wiring errors or DIY accidents (such as cutting through a cable when using an electric hedge cutter). If the supply of electricity isn’t broken, then the individual will experience a potentially fatal electric shock.

The other type of electrical fault is the overcurrent, which may take the form of an overload or short circuit. The circuit will be overloaded with too many electrical devices, resulting in the transfer of power exceeding the cable capacity.

Have been doing a lot of ceiling fan installations inplace of old lighting and adding downlights throughout, here is some photos of 2 different places. 🌟

This is a great solution! LED strip light in quater round channel installed vertically. In this particular installation I put a pantry switch on so that when the door opens the light comes on door closes light turns off that way the light never gets left on by mistake 👌 very happy client and even looks like it's supposed to be there 😁

My 5th successful starlink installation, clients were amazed at the speeds achieved from putting this on the roof(was temporarily on the ground). ⭐️🔥

Install of pendants and USB power points. Also cut out tiles to install power point in kitchen. High ceilings so some sections I had to remove roof sheets to gain access. Worked out great done lots more here but didn't get photos.

Brand new shed wire up from House switchboard to underground to shed sub board, suspension outlets, highbay LED'S, 10a+15a outlets, twin spots, even a TV point for a big screen! 🤩

Today I installed 12x 200W LED high bay lights in a industrial shed in Mudgee. Safe to say some very satisfied customers ⚡️👍
