Was just going through the Write Here Festival program and can't decide which session to attend this weekend. There's a memoir workshop, romance writing workshop, sessions on cosy mysteries and young adult fiction, plus author chats and general bookworm appreciation. Would you look at this STUNNING picture book! It's called A New Friend, written by Lucy Menzies and illustrated by Maddy Vian. A New Friend is two books in one, and tells two different perspectives of the story of Joe and Mae. It's Joe's first day at a new school and Mae wants to meet the new kid and become friends. It shows their individual experiences side by side and is such a gorgeous book. We highly recommend.
