When you just need something other than balls to put in your mouth!!!

Try these little baked fudge banana nutty bites! I just grabbed what I had yesterday and they were so delicious. This morning I went for round 2 & wanted to be extra so added a few more ingredients. No excuse to eat s**t when from start to finish these take maybe 10 mins, 11 if your coffee wasn’t strong!

3 x Bananas
2 heaped Tbsp Cacao
1/4 cup Flaxseeds
1/4 cup H**p seeds
Metric tonne of super crunchy peanut butter (my life line & best friend in a jar)
A splash for good vibes of Maple syrup

If you want to be EXTRA
3 x Bananas
2 heaped Tbsp Cacao
1/4 cup Flaxseeds
3 Tbsp Chia seeds
1/2 cup Physllium husk
S**t tonne (maybe 1 cup) protein peanut butter
A splash for fun of Maple syrup

Bake at 180 degrees for 8/9 mins
Makes 18 bite sized heavenly fudge bites

Once cooled pop in an air tight container & eat within 2/3 days, make in bulk & freeze!

Today is a celebration of sorts!!! Firstly it’s Friday, my day off! I slept in till 7am, my magpie flew in for a chat & breakfast, I had the ocean to myself aside from a few curious fish, it was crisp & crystal clear, my coffee was exactly how I’d imagined, strong & hot & today is the first day I’ve woke pain free in 8+ weeks!

I feel like anything possible today! These last few months have fu**ed me over majorly. Not a newbie to pain but each time it hits it messes me up in many different ways! I dealt with the acute stage with grace & elegance (rage, depression & a lot of tears). I went to work everyday with a smile on my face, I came home & cried in pain for hours & repeated this for 8 very long weeks. I am truely blessed to work with 2 of the greats in the chiropractic world, who have lovingly adjusted me throughout this time (spine, nervous system & attitude) lovingly reminding me that this isn’t my forever, the body heals in time & to get the f**k out of my head, where I can go quite deep & loose all sense of reality!

So today, I have woken with no pain, my head is clear, I have a ball of excitement in the pit of my stomach like I could do anything!!

With acute pain comes a change in yourself that is awful to witness, one day you just realise you’re not you anymore. BUT the old me is back! The story teller, the talk your face off, the can’t sit still, the endless energy, the wanter of everything now & doesn’t like to wait (that could be a negative) anyway, I feel renewed, that magpie & ocean dip really fu**ed me up this morning in the most magical of ways!

A busy weekend filled with new tattoos & Bondi Beach swims. Went to swap some shoes & couldn’t go past the water. I can simply never go near a beach without getting in, it’s criminal.

Had my little buddy with me today, my youngest daughter & the smile on her face was everything. She said Sydney was magical & Bondi is now her favourite place on earth!

Nothing better than this. Pre sunrise ocean dips. Today my suspicions were confirmed there is infact a shark that hangs about the area I swim in, I knew it, I sensed him or her, apparently non aggressive but stilllllll, also a huge stingray. Adds a little bit of excitement to the dips now, I always insure I’m not the only one when I get in, but there have been times where I’m a lone soldier. I don’t think a wobbegong has ever eaten anyone alive before. 🦈🦈

Too much of this over the silly season?

I truely believe there is no point even trying before the 1st of Feb! I can’t get my mind in the game! That brain, it’s the control system. Stubborn bastard mine is too!! Any one on struggle street? In saying this, I don’t regret the choices I’ve made these last few weeks, it’s been a fun fuelled Dec/Jan.

However with a flare up of an old injury on January 1st it certainly whipped my brain into shape, I have been through the ringer, emotionally as much as mentally & physically. I have so many incredible people available to me & when I feel like I’m spiralling I always reach out & without fail they set me on the straight & narrow. Something has shifted in me this time. I can’t explain it, I’ve had 5 + years of back pain, 3 of those debilitating at times. This is the year I finally allow my body to repair & truely believe it can, up until now I think I’ve been skeptical, like the injury is too bad & its become who I am ‘HAYLEY with the herniated discs’. Not anymore, I don’t want to own this title, it’s not who I am or what I’m about, I’ve dropped a few titles this year, I’m not engaging in chat about certain things because I want none of it moving forward. I’m easily triggered, so avoidance is best.

I’m waffling, you’ll always get a story with your raw food! Always!

Anywho, putting pen to paper (or fingers to phone) helps me release, I’m an over-sharer, sometimes, most of the time nothing makes sense but that’s my brain, waffly, side tracked & always in a hurry.

I hope your year has kicked off with a bang. A good bang! I’m back rolling balls again, I’ll continue to tell stories that make no sense, I’ll rehab this back of mine to full health & be truely invested in my health.

I just want to move daily, be in the ocean often, eat well, try & get water into my body in order to stay hydrated, love, be loved, work hard, be a good mum, be a better person than I was last year, not take on the worlds problems, be rid of an old back injury & anxiety, this is my year.

I’m not f**king about with old wounds or reliving traumatic events. 2022 saw a tonne of incredible, spiritual, open minded, intelligent, free spirited people enter my life & I intend to keep them round.

We’ve been through a lot, I’ve tortured myself over certain things for too long, which when you’re not careful show up in your body as other things and we’re not here that are we! No Hayley, we are not!

So the balls will continue to flow, as will the tarts, slices & fudge. They’ll be made with love as they’ve always been & I hope you’ll continue to enjoy my goodies.
