The Graduate Diploma of Emotion Focused Therapy is a specialist psychotherapy training program, accredited by the Australian Counselling Association (ACA)
IEFT in an AGAPÉ certified provider.

✅Student membership with ACA and AGAPÉ⭑⭑⭑ is available to persons enrolled in an ACA accredited/approved course of study at a minimum Diploma (AQF level 5 or 6) in counselling or higher education level (AQF level 7, 8 or 9) in counselling. AQF level 8 includes Graduate Diploma in Counselling—Excludes Graduate Certificate in Counselling.
Upon completion of the Graduate Diploma of Emotion Focused Therapy, students are eligible to apply for level 1 membership. With a Graduate Diploma of Emotion Focused Therapy, students can move as high as level 2 membership over time.

IEFT students, who are enrolled to study a postgraduate degree, are eligible for free affiliate
membership with AGAPÉ.
Half price membership to all IEFT graduates, who have completed their studies at
IEFT, provided this is their first application to AGAPE; And provide such graduate students with the title of AGAPE Provisions EFT Specialist and unique seal.

Gaslighting is a form of psychological abuse where a person or group makes someone question their sanity, perception of reality, or memories. People experiencing gaslighting often feel confused, anxious, and unable to trust themselves. (Medical News Today)

The term comes from the famous play Gaslight, along with the subsequent film. The story revolves around a husband who manipulates his wife into thinking she has mental illness. One of his tactics revolves around dimming their gas-fueled lighting and convincing her that she is hallucinating.

Gaslighting is often discussed in the context of romantic relationships. However gaslighting permeates family dynamics, friendships, and even the workplace.

Just about anybody can be susceptible to gaslighting, but individuals with low self esteem, anxiety, and ADHD are particularly vulnerable to it.

The best defense is to arm yourself. Know that there is hope, that you can rebuild, and that it is NOT your fault.
