Delays To Orders Being Sent Out

Firstly, thank you so very much if you have placed an order with Colour Me Pretty since last Friday.

For those who don't know us we are a small online family ran business who work out of an office/warehouse extension to our home. We do this to keep our prices low and we are able to maintain an excellent level of customer service. We always get our orders out in a timely manner and respond to queries in a timely manner.

However in the past week I fell ill and I was unable to work the second half of last week. Over the weekend I then tested positive to Covid along with others who also work in the office and warehouse with me. This has left us with no one to pack your orders unfortunately as we have all become unwell.

On Sunday I sought doctors advice as I took a bad turn with my breathing and it is believed that I have pneumonia (or some sort of RSV) as well as covid. I have been treated for this and since started to improve dramatically but I still have a fair way to go. Today is the first day I have been able to sit and look at a computer to get a message out to you all.

We get out of quarantine on Thursday however we can't return to work until we are well enough too. This may mean that we may be delayed in sending your orders out a little longer.

Please know that we are truly very sorry for this inconvenience and we are doing everything we can to take care of ourselves to ensure our recovery is quick and we are back into it as soon as we can, however I thought it was very important to make contact with you to let you know where your order is it and why orders or messages and emails may be delayed.

I have sent emails directly to people who have placed orders in case there are people who aren't on social media.

I would also like to apologise if my sentences aren't completely making sense, I am still a little blergh.

Have you discovered the zesty, fresh and delightful scent of the Fluid Citrus Manicure System? It is a 5-step manicure system designed to nourish, soothe and cleanse the fingers and hands.

1. Begin by soaking hands in a manicure bowl with a sq**rt of the ‘Lime Manicure Cleaning Soak 1’ and warm water.
2. After soaking for 3 to 5 minutes, dry client’s hands and gently massage ‘Lime Manicure Exfoliating Salts 2’ onto your client’s hands and wrists.
3. Without removing the salts begin using the ‘Lime Manicure Massage Activator 3’ by massaging into the hands creating a rich, creamy, moisturiser dissolving the lime salts and exfoliating the hands and wrists.
4. Thinly cover the entire hand to the top of the wrist by using 2 heaped spatulas of ‘Lime Manicure Hydrating Clay Mask 4’. Wrap hands in a clean towel. After 5 minutes unwrap the hands and rinse off in hand bath.
5. To complete the 5-step process, massage ‘Lime Manicure Soothing Moisturizer 5’ into client’s skin up to the elbows prior to applying nail treatments. This soothing Moisturizer is excellent for daily use and can be offered for sale to your clients if you are looking for great products to stock.

Tip - If you’re applying a Gel product (Gel Polish, Builder In A Bottle) to the nail plate, it will adhere to a dry, natural nail plate a lot better. Many manicurists choose to do the Gel Polish application prior to the Manicure to ensure the usual long-lasting durability of the Gel Polish.

Fluid Nail Design brushes are made from Kolinsky.
Brush care is essential to retaining a perfect brush always. Never clean brushes in BRUSH CLEANER, it is too harsh and strips the hair of their natural oils. Brushes should be cleaned in CLEAN monomer after every use and thoroughly checked to make sure there is no product left in the bristles. Always store your brush pointing downwards OR laying flat on a table. Never store your brush with the bristles facing upwards as monomer will seep into the ferrule, melt the glue and contaminate your brush. If your brush starts to seep a yellow tinge, it is contaminated.
Fluid brushes are glued and clamped to hold bristles in place though you may expect to lose a few while breaking in a new brush.

To break in your new brush, allow the bristles to soak in clean monomer for at least 10 - 15 minutes to dissolve the packing gum. Once the gum has dissolved gently train your brush into your desired shape by soaking and wiping on a clean dental bib. Always use dental bibs, not paper towel as paper towel is not lint free and the fibres will be picked up with your brush.

Indulge your clients with everyone’s favourite Pedi system.

Formulated with both Australian natural botanicals and ocean marine extracts this 6-step program is the ultimate in Spa Pedicure Treatments.

1. Begin by placing a sq**rt or two of the ‘Marine Pedicure Foaming Foot Bath 1’ into a foot bath along with warm water. Soak your clients feet for 5-10 minutes ensuring the water covers feet and tops of ankles.
2. Add one scoop of ‘Marine Pedicure Sea Salts 2’ to the foot bath. Agitate the salts to blend into the water. Soak feet for a further 10 minutes.
3. Using a cotton ball, liberally apply ‘Marine Callus Peel 3’ to calluses and dry spots on the foot. Let the foot sit in a clean towel for 5 minutes then rinse.
4. Using a towel to pat dry one foot from the footbath, take one scoop of ‘Marine Pedicure Deep Cleansing Scrub 4’ and smooth along the bottom of the foot avoiding the sensitive skin on the top of the foot. Gently massage for 2-3 minutes until the dead skin cells roll off. After thoroughly rinsing the foot, pat dry with a towel.
5. Thinly cover the entire foot to the top of the ankle, by using two heaped spatulas of ‘Marine Pedicure Rejuvenating Mudd 5’. Wrap the foot in a clean towel and leave for 5 minutes and treat the other foot using the past steps. Unwrap the foot and rinse off in the footbath then pat dry with a towel.
6. To complete the Pedicure massage a small amount of ‘Marine Pedicure Massage Lotion 6’ into your clients feet and ankles. This soothing Lotion is excellent for daily use and can be offered for sale to your clients if you are looking for great products to stock.

Tip - If you’re applying a Gel product (Gel Polish, Builder In A Bottle) to the nail plate, it will adhere to a dry, natural nail plate a lot better. Many manicurists choose to do the Gel Polish application prior to the Pedicure to ensure the usual long-lasting durability of Gel Polish.
