Morning all,

Just a friendly reminder of the upcoming KTAV Training Development & Seminar being held this Sunday, 20th August. If you haven't registered please do this by Thursday. This is a wonderful opportunity for all students regardless of experience, belt rank and age to come and meet some of Australia's best coaches and instructors and gain further skills to assist you with achieving your goals within your Taekwondo journey.

We will have a coffee van set-up which will be available from 9.45am when doors open.

So come join the FUN with KTAV and make new friends.

Exciting news team, KTAV is holding a Poomsae & Sparring training development day on Sunday, 20th August. This is open to all clubs and students. Come and join the fun with like minded instructors and meet new friends. See flyer below.

Congratulations to Adrian from AJ Plumbing & Drainage Bass Coast on winning the Sherrin footy signed by the 2023 Richmond Football Team. This was a fund-raiser for the Korea Taekwondo Association Victoria Inc. A big thank you to Master Guy Livori of Heenan Taewkondo, KTAV Sparring Director & SE Concreting for organising this wonderful prize. Valued at over $1000.

KTAV held their first Trivia Night last night at the Wonthaggi Golf Club to help raise funds for future KTAV local competitions. We ended up raising quite a bit which will go to venue hire, safety equipment, medals and merchandise.

We would like to thank the following people for their assistance and support:

🔹️Rocky Rinaldi for being an exceptional MC and running the event without any hitches and making us laugh.

🎉Congratulations to Marisa Rinaldi on winning Gold in a her Poomsae division at the World Police Taekwondo Federation games in South Korea. Marisa has been training hard with our KTA counterparts in Seoul Korea and stayed with a local family for a night to fully understand their cultural and make new friends.

Great effort and indomitable spirit Marisa!

That's a wrap! What an amazing weekend we had in Sydney participating in the 18th KTAA Cheon Gong Cup tournament. It was a special weekend as we were honoured to have Master Cheon Gong attend. Master Cheon Gong is a spiritual leader in Sth Korea and
spent 17 solitary years in the mountain, made a direct connection with Nature, and absorbed Cosmic Law, the principle that governs the Universe.

The tournament was a success and the events were well organised. Our girls did an amazing job and brought home the goods. To see the smiles on their faces, was priceless.

Well done Imashi, Marisa & Abi. We are so proud of you. All of you demonstrated the Tenets of Taekwondo and most of all you had FUN!

Thank you to Grand Master Dosa Kwon, Keiko Kwon, Hajin Kwon, Claudia Murray, GM Jet Lee (President KTAQ) Master James Heenan (President KTAV), coaches, referee's, judges, volunteers and parents who helped make this event successful.

📣 PUBLIC NOTICE 📣
I am about to distribute a broad email to as many Taekwondo Clubs in Victoria as possible, as well as interstate (obtained from the current KTAQ, KTAA and HEENAN Taekwondo databases), advertising for Expressions of Interest and nominations for the inaugural KTA - Victoria Branch Board and Executive Committee.
This will include the vacant position of Honorary Chairperson.
The closing date for EOI and nominations will be 14 days after the email is published.
If there are any email accounts/potential nominations that are overlooked please feel free to advise.
