Knowing the difference is essential to success in any capacity. In short, your strategy details your vision and the objectives your vision will achieve. Your plan is the tactical deliverables that will help you execute your vision. As #entrepreneurs we are often in the position of wearing multiple hats as both the visionary and the person tasked with implementing the vision, particularly in the early stages of growth when resources are limited for sufficient staffing to delegate. The juggling act is part of the journey, almost a rite of passage as an entrepreneur. A mentor told me early in my career, always make sure you are able to perform every role in your business, even as your business grows, so that you and your team knows that at any time, you can and will step in if needed to ensure the job is done and done well. For all the small business owners out there juggling multiple roles during this busy holiday season - boxing inventory, serving customers, paying invoices and payroll, mopping the floor, responding to emails, managing bookkeeping, or developing your strategic plan for 2024 - we get it and we applaud you.
