Exploring New Opportunities in Education

When Germany became a top destination for higher education, my office and WhatsApp were flooded with inquiries. I wanted to learn more, so I visited the German Embassy in Delhi without an appointment! After exchanging emails, I was warmly welcomed and had a comprehensive discussion about the future of Germany-Bhutan relations in education.

As a private educator, I feel privileged to be leading the way. Today, SMART is a pioneer in education recruitment in Bhutan, breaking boundaries and exploring new possibilities. We're proud to set an example for others.

And what a stroke of luck! I coincidentally met the German Ambassador at the DrukAir business lounge in Delhi Airport - we were on the same flight to Bhutan, where he would present his credentials to His Majesty the King. Talk about being in the right place at the right time!

Humbled to personally have donated Nu. 1.2 Million ($20,000) to YDF for My Gakidh Village school Project

The Murdoch University in Perth, Australia donated over Nu 5.5 M to the Bhutan Youth Development Fund, YDF, today. The donation is being made to support the My Gakidh Village School, a model school in Toebisa, Punakha.

According to a news release from the YDF, the My Gakidh Village School project is the vision of Her Majesty Gyalyum Tseyring Pem Wangchuck, President of the YDF, to establish an international school in the country based on a place-based education approach.

According to YDF, this is the first time such a donation has been made for the model school project by the university. The YDF and Murdoch University signed an MoU in 2019 to collaborate and develop projects of mutual interest.

Throwback to the day I randomly met my cricket icon, Adam Gilchrist, on the streets of Perth CBD 🏏✨ Childhood dreams came to life that day, as I grew up emulating his legendary play and even claimed to be 'Gilly' among my friends. His inspiration fueled my passion for the gentleman's game.
