This class will commence on Friday 1st December, the first official day of Summer ☀️💦 Join us on the grass at Scarborough Beach Amphitheatre for an uplifting and energising yoga class overlooking the ocean as the sun rises. It really is a stunning way to start the day! BYO mat, water bottle and swimmers (if you want to go for a dip after class). This class will be held weekly until the end of March. Over the next few weeks we will be exploring the five elements of nature and their healing properties, and how that can link with our yoga practice. The elements have distinct spiritual energies that can deepen the connection within ourselves and everything around us. 🌿 Earth - is grounding, growth, stability and presence. 🌬️ Air - is movement, expansion and communication. 🔥 Fire - is passion, transformation, purification, renewal and strength. 💦 Water - is cleansing, healing and represents joy, fluidity, adaptability and creativity. 🙏🏻 Space / Ether - is intuition, peace and consciousness. B A C K T O B A S I C S - Due to popular demand I’m running another ‘Back to Basics’ session, focussing on the foundations of Vinyasa Yoga. We will spend time working on the traditional poses, alignment, techniques, transitions, drishti and use of breath (Pranayama). You will have time to ask questions and get one-on-one assistance. If you’re newer to yoga, this will give you a solid foundation of the basics and boost your confidence to step into other yoga classes 💜 We will mainly focus on: 🌼 Sun Salutation A 🌼 Sun Salutation B 🌼 Chaturanga Dandasana 🌼 Ujjayi breath The first half of the class will be workshop style.
