Well, most of our wonderful customers know that I have a rather extreme aversion to a traditional 3 piece rimless …… the reason not obvious to most people is that without the dummy lenses the whole shebang consists of 3 pieces of thin wire 😂
Well not in case!
They have turned the 3 piece structure of wire into an absolute Art Form!
Matt black anodised titanium with cast 18ct gold decals are adorned without any hint of crassness (which is a serious problem with other rimless frames)

this sensational Art Piece is a limited edition and features, obviously a complete ’stapled’ section over the Left lens, this half of the piece has also been blow torched (burned)
The Right half section has been faceted in multiple directions catching any light that strays upon it

As is usual with Chrome Hearts the devil is in the details, the whole outside of the eyewire rim is laser etched with the Chrome Hearts crosses and the temple adorned with an 28 carat gold adornment

This model is a softer and more rounded version of the classic American horn rimmed square which was more prevalent during the 1940’s
But what gives this a totally modern edge is the expensive CNC machining of the bevelling on the front,as the two opposite surfaces give it a real 3D look

Many of my friends and customers know that I am an avid collector of vintage eyewear
My particular love is pre 1950’s American domestic and industrial eyewear,safety and welding
I was extremely lucky to have picked up about 6 pairs of these amazing very rare early 20th century welders COMPLETELY unworn ……….. what was a man to do but put his prescription sunglasses into them!
Anyhow these were made in about 1918 out of old electrical board 😂
They are my absolute favourite sunglasses

I have missed these so much and it is wonderful to see that Livio and Sergio have not rested on their laurels!
The brand deservedly has gone from strength to strength over ten years, and indeed Quinn Eyeworks and Blink 138 purchased their very first models upon their inaugural release all those years ago

A timely reminder for everyone that at both of our practices we are all Opthalmic Technicians and one of our great skills is restoring tired and old frames back to new again
Here I have stripped and repolished one of our Chrome Hearts frames for a great customer whom bought another one

We are so ecstatic about seeing some of the latest design techniques coming through and being applied to our latest range of incredible Eyewear
For instance the negative ‘bowl’ cut into the front surface of this piece requires a 5 axis CNC Milling Machine which are massively expensive
A full 8mm thick acetate rim and a full 12mm thickness where the temple meets the frame front
A super wide detailed gold temple core makes the arms virtually able to never go out of adjustment or alignment
The last detail that is very important is that they in the polishing tumblers for a full 7 days giving them the most gorgeous shine and lustre
They are starting to sell extremely well so come and check them out
