We are seeking psychologists to join our team to help support clients within a private practice setting.
The job descriptions for psychology roles are fairly standard so I don’t see the need to go into detail about our roles as psychologists and what we do because we all know it already. But please contact us if you are interested or would like more information
Full admin support and flexible hours
It is not often that as psychologists we ask for help, despite encouraging others to do so. This is me reaching out and seeking fellow psychologists to join our team and help provide support for clients within a private practice setting.
The role is flexible and offers full admin support.
Hi wonderful humans! After a Facebook detox over the last few months, I wanted to share a podcast with you that my dear friend John invited me to be a part of. Never Just a Dog, is a podcast that explores grief following dog loss and aims to normalise the connection people develop to their furry companions and help people through the loss of a beloved pet.
Obviously, companion animals are something close to my heart... so how could I say no to giving my 2 cents on the matter 🙂 ... the reason why this is often a difficult topic to discuss is exactly the reason why it needs a spotlight shined on it.. 💕🐶🐾
The grief following the loss of a companion animal may impact more people than you expect and who may be suffering in silence.. So give it a listen, reach out to those who may need and feel free to offer us some feedback.

**** For those in Perth, I just want to acknowledge what a great job we are all doing to stop the spread of COVID. Legends!!! 💪
Talking Dog Loss Grief With Clinical Psychologist Talya Carter | Never Just A Dog In this episode, your host John Littlefair sits down with Cinical Psychologist Talya Carter to discuss stigma and grief surrounding dog loss. She also brings along her clinic therapy dog Remi to join into the conversation.
When meditation, talking, yoga and breath work don't quite cut it... Sometimes you just have to throw sh*t and it is oddly satisfying! 🪓
We always have the power to choose.
Wise words...
We all need a little TLC sometimes...
We cannot become what we want by remaining where we are... change is the only constant
Choose your life, don’t settle for it. If it no longer serves you, take a breath, be brave... let it go
These guys are offering a free 12 month personalised mediation program to help with stress, sleep, mood and focus
About 2 weeks ago, we started giving away free one-year subscriptions to Balance to anyone interested. Our plan was to end the offer at the end of March. But because we received such an outpouring of gratitude, and because this pandemic continues to affect us all, we’ve decided to extend the offer through April 15th. Email [email protected] for instructions on how to unlock your free year. And please spread the word, so we can help as many people as possible. 💙
I was fortunate enough to sit down with an incredibly talented client the other day to discuss mental health during the current CoViD-19 pandemic. Would love to hear any feedback if you get the chance to have a listen

Mental health and difficult times with my therapist, T Listen to this episode from TYMO: The Yours, Mine & Ours Podcast on Spotify. Almost everyone is currently feeling scared and anxious at the moment. We’re not sure when we will go back to the normal we’re used to, and we’re constantly fed news 24/7. Most of us are trying to take care of ourselv...
The more we sacrifice now, the faster we can return to days like this. The days where touching was allowed and people bumped into you at supermarkets.. Let’s show the world how it’s done in this and set the standard for everyone else to follow. , We’ve got this
In the scheme of a lifetime, this is just an inconvenience
Times like this call for support, compassion, community. This is how we as a group survive. Not by tearing each other and everything apart
I wonder if you can take a moment to think of one good thing in your life right now... and appreciate it... just the way it is
Contract position - flexible hours with full admin support.
If you are looking for a new opportunity to work with clients who present with a range of challenges, great referrers and a friendly, relaxed team then we would love to meet with you.
TLC Psych Services has the potential to do great things beyond clinicians just having a client load. But to achieve this, we need help. So if you want to make a difference in the lives of clients and also promote help seeking and reduce stigma around mental illness more broadly then let’s work together to achieve this.
A wise human once said.... ♥️
Need a new podcast? This is it... An amazing woman creating beautiful things. Anyone that is willing to tackle the challenging topic of mental health and reduce the stigma as she goes, has my full support. T x

Many of us have been hurt by others, either intentionally or unintentionally. Choose you. Not them. Choose growth. Not destruction.......
Spirals are believed to represent movements through experiences in life. I like that idea as something to reflect on this week.
We can see spirals everywhere in nature, they are ancient. Spirals can represent the slow reveal of things that are hidden, becoming aware of a piece that is part of a whole... Spirals symbolise growth, evolution and sometimes even returning to the same points in our lives, but with a new understanding that moves us forward or allows us to have deeper and more meaningful connections. This is also essentially the art of therapy. Revisiting the old to discover new ways to view the past that push us to trust in the journey, trust ourselves and renew our focus towards what is truly important.
I wonder if you can start to see the spirals around us... Notice them. What does this symbol mean to you? Letting go? Surrender? Release? Balance? Maybe draw your own spiral and keep it with you as a reminder of the journey you’re on. Wherever you may be in that.

Welcome the the TLC Psych page!
For most of us, at some stage in our lives, we will be faced with challenges that can become overwhelming. Too often, we suffer alone and don’t reach out for help. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Seeking help is a strength and not a weakness.
It is my intention to use this platform to reduce the stigma around help seeking and encourage all of us to check in with our mental health from time to time and see how we’re tracking.
If you, or someone you know is struggling, I encourage you to reach out. Whether that be to us at TLC Psych, to another psychologist, a friend or to a family member. Taking that first step is the hardest.
You deserve a meaningful and fulfilling life, and sometimes that requires us to get out of our own way and stop holding ourselves back from creating the life we want.
Sometimes we just need to hold each other up, take a deep breath and admire the beauty on our doorstep
This is Remi. She hangs around the practice most days and loves to greet people as they walk in. She takes her role very seriously 💕
