Rainbow Timeline of Western Australia Project.
Rainbow timeline connects through time LGBTIAQ+ communities' decades of activism, organisations, social groups and personal histories located within and around Perth Western Australia Noongar Boodja.
We connect previous LGBTIAQ+ exhibitions, including panels from 10 Years In Visibility: A HISTORY OF PERTH PRIDE MARCHES & PARADES from PICA 1999. Pride 25 exhibition at The Museum of Perth 2015. ‘I want a future that lives up to my past’ AGWA 2020.
Rarely seen ephemera, publications, archival film and video, sourced from private collections and archives.
Dedicated to generations of people living and who lived when voices were silenced, stories hidden, forgotten and lost.
Unravelling uncovering our collective past. Revealing extraordinary lineage, kinship and diversity of the LGBTIQA+ community.
Supported by The City of Perth, GALAWA (Gay and Le***an Archives of WA) and Murdoch University Library Special Collections.
