Not quite finished but wanted to share how gorgeous this piece is going to be. This is another glass jewellery box and a new technique I've been working on has been incorporated into this piece and has really just taken this to the next level..... 😃

Jewellery box or trinket/treasure box

This beautiful jewellery box is made from brass, glass and mirror. The glass lid has been finished with many tiny pieces of glass that have been finished in turquoise hues and surrounded by more turquoise, blue and a splash of rose gold and white.

The bottom of the box is mirrored which creates a beautiful glimmer to the glass lid.

I started working on this design technique many years ago and was never 100% happy with the outcome. After many tweaks to the original technique Im so very happy with this new collection of fused glass pieces that are hand painted and truly stunning. Here is one of the new designs

Oh my goodness! I've spent a couple of hours trying to get good pics of this lantern. It's so beautiful but so difficult to capture the iridescent turquoise, bronze and purple that shimmer throughout this glass.

After many many pics I'm pretty happy with these. Need to do a couple of pics later tonight which will show this beauty's colourful reflections once lit by candlelight.

This stunning lantern has been created with many strips of fused glass that have been layered up and fired in the kiln in a way to keep a lovely rippled texture (4 glass panels). Finished with cobalt blue and turquoise highlights.

So very difficult to caputre the true beauty of this with it having a highly reflective surface the camera struggles with capturing the image as the light bounces off the different angles of glass.
