Hearing God isn't as difficult as it may feel sometimes. Oftentimes, it's us who are too busy to listen, or perhaps we're looking for His voice and direction in the wrong places. Maybe we put God into a box, limiting Him to show up only in ways we expect or are familiar with-- and then we get frustrated when He doesn't.
But God simply says, “Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3 (NIV). Here are a few lighthouse signs you can use to help you identify God's voice 👉
We love Sundays because we get to spend it with you! 🫶🏻
Sometimes, the most beautiful stories are born out of the hardest struggles ❤️🩹 It’s in the fire that gold is refined, and in the storm that we learn the true strength of our anchor. So who do YOU become through your trials? Will you choose to embrace your challenges as opportunities for growth and transformation, instead of letting it define your story and consume your joy, kindness and love?
Because God's plans for us are always for good, we can trust that He's writing a masterpiece with every chapter of our life, even the tough ones 📖 Your story matters, and it has the power to impact others in ways you may never see!
From the story of The Lion King, we draw connections to the parable of the Prodigal Son that's present in Luke 15:11-32: a narrative explaining the heart of God for humanity. We are called us to embrace our God-given destiny and identity, knowing we are deeply loved and made in His image 🖼️
But many of us forget that we have a destiny beyond the day-to-day, choosing to distract ourselves and run away from that by adopting the Hakuna Matata approach to life of "no worries and no cares" for the sake of living a comfortable life, at the expense of missing out on a higher purpose that God calls us to.
But Jesus loves you so much that He pursues and wants you, no matter what you've done or where you've been. He lovingly invites you to come home to Him, for He wants to clothe you with a robe of dignity, celebrate you, and remind you of who you are and what you were made for ❤️
The world might try to define you by your past, your success, career, looks or how others think of you, but in Jesus, we don't need to be confined by such false identity!
So how do we embrace our divine identity in God?
❤️ Believe that you are unconditionally loved by your Heavenly Father (Jeremiah 31:3)
🧑🎨 Know that God's worth becomes your worth
If an item's worth depends on the status of the creator or how much someone's willing to pay for it, how priceless are we, created by the God of the universe in His own image and bought by the blood of Christ? (Genesis 1:27)
📖 Lastly, know how God defines you!
The Bible shares how God sees and thinks of us. As a child of God, we are already a citizen of heaven, so we don’t need to earn our way there. We are already a saint, so we can be more like Christ!
Introducing our new Next Gen check-in software, designed for a more simple, seamless and secure experience! You can now check your children in on Sundays or Youth Friday nights right from your phone, so you can spend less time in the queue, and more time engaged in community and our gathering when you're at church.

In every season, God entrusts us with gifts and opportunities. The question is: What will we do with them? 🌟
From the Parable of the Talents, we can see that as followers of Jesus, we are called to be multipliers, investing and growing what God has given us, rather than burying it. Ownership is not about simply taking possession of what is in front of you, but taking responsibility for what has been entrusted to you. Are our choices aligned with what God has entrusted us with?
As we hope to hear the Lord commend us "Well done, good and faithful servant" at the end of this marathon, let's embrace responsibility, make wise choices to multiply our blessings, and live generously.

Since Adam and Eve's fall, we see that sin's greatest damage is how it profoundly skews humans' perception of God, making us see Him as an angry, strict judge and one to be feared, instead of the loving Father that He is.
We could no longer see the lavish grace, hope and love that He continues to pour forth for us, and thus the relationship between God and mankind is completely misinterpreted, and we distance ourselves from Him.
But God knows that as His creation made in His image, apart from Him, we would feel a sense of deep unrest that nothing in this world could fill us with — except for Him. So He sent His son Jesus to reconcile us: restoring the broken relationship between us and God.
Because He loves us too much to leave us as we are.
We often question where the boundary lies between sin and staying safe, wondering how close we can get without stepping over the line. To answer this question, we must first understand how God defines sin and why it's so damaging. No one is immune nor foreign to the sin cycle; we’ve all experienced it. But understanding the cycle and how to deal with sin helps us better navigate it.

On Vision Sunday, as we celebrated the past 20 years of God's grace for The Rocks, we reaffirmed our vision to be an outward-facing church that's safe, welcoming and non-judgmental, attractive and relevant, for people to belong, experience God and grow, wherever they are on their journey.
With this, we challenged everyone to reflect on their own life vision, because we cannot do this alone! As a community, let's deepen our trust in God, our love for people, and our dedication to living a purposeful life in line with His greater plan.

What if how you perceive success is actually harmful to you? What if true success isn't about wealth or status, but rather aligning our lives with Jesus’ teachings? Last Sunday, Dr. Omar Djoeandy challenged us to resist greed and warned us of the temptation to distort Jesus to fit our own comfortable values and lives. His love is unconditional, embracing us as we are, beyond material possessions. Let’s focus on living out His love and grace authentically!

As we celebrated Mother's Day on Sunday, the story of Ruth resonated deeply, reminding us that life's not just a series of coincidences, but a tapestry woven by God's providence. Ruth's resilience and unwavering faith amidst challenges speak volumes, encouraging us to draw strength from her story, trusting in God's divine plan, knowing that even in the darkest moments, His hand guides us towards purpose.
