Air Force 100: Commemorating 100 years of the Royal Australian Air Force
Royal Australian Air Force is turning 100 today. 🎉 On Wednesday 31 March 2021 we're marking our 100th anniversary with a mass flypast over Canberra of current and historic military aircraft, which will be livestreamed here and via ABC TV + iview from 10.00am local time. For those of you in Canberra today who are considering finding a nice location to watch the Spectacular Aircraft Flypast, please remember to practice all of your regular COVID-Safe behaviours. ✅ If the area you visit is crowded or busy, consider finding another location that’s quieter ✅ When you find a location you are happy with, ensure you keep your distance from other groups or spectators ✅ If you’re unwell, please stay at home ✅ Continue to practise good hand and respiratory hygiene when you are out and about 📸 Tag your pics with @AusAirForce, #AusAirForce and #AirForce100 We hope you enjoy the show! ✈️

RAAF Museum Mustang A68-170 departing on a taxy test 13Aug19.
After nearly eight years, CAC Mustang A68-170 (VH-SVU) moved under her own power for a taxy test, run-up and a high power, but aborted take-off run on Tuesday morning. Attached is a short video of 170 departing from the Museum tarmac. The aircraft is now serviceable ( the weight of the paperwork has equaled the weight of the aircraft ) and will test fly once the required Defence Approvals have been granted. Thanks to all that have participated in returning the aircraft to airworthy status. It's been a team effort.
