What is Tiraapendi Wodli?

Tiraapendi Wodli, meaning Protecting the Home in Kaurna, is The Port Adelaide Justice Reinvestment Aboriginal Leadership Group. The group is the representative Aboriginal community authority with genuine decision making powers to drive justice reinvestment outcomes and to improve the lives of Aboriginal people and their families living in the Port Adelaide area.

The ROLE of the inaugural Aboriginal Leadership Group is to determine sustainable justice reinvestment priorities over a 5 year period, and to lead and monitor the implementation of the justice reinvestment trial in Port Adelaide.

The GOAL of the Aboriginal Leadership Group is to improve the lifestyles of Aboriginal children, young people and their families living in Port Adelaide, and to reduce the number of Aboriginal people entering the justice system.
